I use facial hair removal cream every 2 wks. The only danger is leaving it on too long....should never exceed instructed time. A mild one is Sally Hansen facial cream hair remover.
Tried professional waxing but it was too costly since i had to do it every week. The other alternative is permanent removal by electrolysis or laser.

Wax it. Most cream hair removers are just really harsh chemicals. Waxing will only take a few seconds, just grin and bear it! emoticon

Honestly, first of all, I would tell your hubby to stop being an insensitive jerk! I would be completely appalled if my love "jokingly" made fun of something I was self conscious about!

My mom uses nair once a month for her blonde stache. It seems to have good results, because the hair is so thin there.

You're lucky it's blonde! I am blonde but my upper lip hair is dark. I actually bleach mine (sally hanson has a good facial bleach) because I break out from the hair removers and wax. I end up looking like a clown if I use them (bad red rash).

I also get it threaded sometimes which is an Indian technique. I don't break out from it. Look around your local salons to see if anyone offers threading. It's great for eyebrows too!

when the blonde one grows back, does it stay blonde? I've avoided waxing b/c I'm afraid it will come back dark.

I have a blonde one too! Every now & then a dark hair will come out, that one gets plucked! But, when I have worried about it, I've bought the "wax strips". They were okay, but hurt! You tear them off & the hair comes out, if you take that route don't do it when you have somewhere to go, it leaves your upper lip a little red & sensitive!

If you do decide to go for waxing, I would reccommend that you go to a professionl first, as they can do it with minimal pain-plus if you've never done it before you're in danger of whimping and and having a piece of material and wax stuck to your lip!

Definitely wax but be careful if you have used a product which has overly softened your skin...your skin will come off! This happened to me. I had been using glycolic acid containing moisturizers.

Wax. I have alot of dark hair on my upper lip and waxing or eplilating is the best way. It gets rid of the hair completely for a while and it also weakens the hair so it comes back finer and less noticable. NEVER SHAVE IT!
