I started my latest weight loss program off this year for Imbolc. My birthday is the last day of winter, and as of then I had lost 32 pounds. I can't wait to see what my total we be by Ostare. For my birthday, I spent some money and joined a gym. I have a couple of pre-existing injuries and feel that, hopefully, it can help keep from getting further injuries. Best wishes to you all on your journeys. Blessings to all.

For Ostara this year I'm celebrating by doing a small ritual for the fitness group we have starting on the 21st. ^_^ I kind of want to just bless our challengers and I spread some positive vibes their way since, for some odd reason, haters tend to come out of the woodwork when you start doing the lifestyle changes needed to lose weight. At least that's what I've observed personally and second hand.

As far as personal plans...I'm thinking about just getting out and enjoying nature after my nutrition classes. ^_^ Going on a hike and reconnecting with the Earth since we have no snow. Haha!

For Ostara, I always decorate my alter and do an Ostara ritual. No more kids for me, so doing a fertility spell won't happen. I am unable to have any more kids anyway. I am unsure what holds for me for Beltane.

oh and I forgot that my son's birthday is april 18th, so there will be a party. And hopefully I won't have to stand for jury duty during spring break...

One thing about living down here is that we celebrate EVERYTHING! If it can have a festival, parade, or party in any way, shape, or form, we will throw one. Which is probably why Louisiana has one of the most obese populations... because all of the celebrations are very much food-oriented. And oh boy, the food is delicious.

I don't celebrate the Pagan holidays as such but I do appreciate Spring. And my birthday is May 2, so it gives me an excuse to indulge in a small treat or two.

Not sure what I'll be doing, but spring is a nice time of year. Just feels so alive and vibrant.

Depression is anger without the motivation.

I think depression runs rampant in society today because we are all so obsessed with making a living instead of living our lives.

Live your dreams, it's not as hard as it may seem...On your hopes you must lean...From your fears you have to wean yourself.

Renewal and growth.
I will be working to bring forth more of my creative spirit, but first I have to clear out the muck. So much has accumulated both physically and mentally that it makes it difficult to find that creative spark within.

Also going to work on being more honest with myself and taking responsibility for my own actions rather than trying to pass the buck to someone or something else.

All of this in addition to continuing and reaffirming my healthy lifestyle journey and reigniting my relationship with my lover. (though, Goddess, please no more kids! We can't afford them!)

as for celebration, the kids and I will dye eggs on Ostara and have an egg hunt, either that day or on Easter (we will celebrate both, since that's what is expected with my parents and extended family). I'm trying to think of something else to do with the kiddos on Ostara, but I don't know if I will have time for more as I also have a robotics tournament that weekend, so my prep time will be zero.

As for Beltane, not sure what we will be doing just yet...

You can make it a great day or not. The choice is yours.

Ok, sorry all, I missed the first of the "spring" festivals - Imbolc. We're rapidly coming up on the other two, though, Ostara (March 30) and Beltane (May 1). Do you celebrate one or both? How?

These holidays (holy days) celebrate new birth, new beginnings, fertility and light! What are you going to carry forward with you into the "new"?

Get your intentions out there just as though this was the beginning of the calendar year! What an auspicious time to drag out those New Year's resolutions and check your progress, to commit to them anew.

This time of year also celebrates the union of male and female, Lord and Lady, man and woman. Take some extra time to nurture your relationship with your significant other if you have one or to cast for a new love if that's your desire. What a blessed time to get pregnant, too.

Share with us . . . what are the springtime holy days to you?
