Carol: How do I find you on Facebook? emoticon
Bev: emoticon thanks for the warm welcome
Linda: Being forced to eat in has it's advantages; we know what we eat and have control of what goes on our plate - a win-win. emoticon emoticon
I had to make bread this week and have to do another 2 loaves today. I mixed half white and half whole wheat flour. Turned up real good emoticon

At the beginning of the year, I mentioned starting a group on facebook for the book, Satisfied, a 90 day Spiritual Journey toward Food Freedom. We have a core group of diligant posters and I have seen much improvement in every one through this journey. On April 1, we are revisiting the book again, starting over. On Facebook, on the left side of a page, you can type in a search like #day1 and all those posts will come up. I liked it so much, I purchased the book from Amazon so I can make notes this time. I have it on kindle and it is tough going back and forth.
I think I am on the road to food freedom. I am not strictly on BLE but I have learned so much, not snacking, portion control and so much more. So if you have the time to devote to 2 pages a day to read and a bible verse, this is it. Carol

Most days I am hitting my goals that I set for myself this month. I am not and will not let this coronavirus get the best of me and my goals. I am not letting being home be an excuse for eating. We are probably eating heartier meals but I am getting my exercise in most days of the week.

Thanks Mom. A weird thing happened to me today. I used to make ambrosia for thanksgiving until my sister and her son sneered at it and I quit making it. My son liked it so he bought some prepared ambrosia home from Publix but said he didn't like it as it didn't taste like mine. So today I decided to try it. I LIKED it! And several big spoonfuls I determined that I could eat the whole thing but due to BLE, knew better. Put the lid on and put it away. Learning to be sensible. CArol

Today is my birthday and while we would normally go out somewhere, we are considering a take out meal from a local very small restaurant. Something son might eat when he is home. Carol

I think I'm doing ok considering all that is going on. Thank heavens I have a warm house and I have things to keep me busy when we are home. We aren't seeing a lot of people at the shop but we need to be there and are being very vigilant about cleaning. I foresee a much cleaner refrigerator and freezer. Finding things we didn't know we had.
Keep moving and doing things and don't sit and fret. It won't do you or your family any good.

I am doing o.k. with my diet. I think no church service is a different type of sacrifice. It does not mean that you can't pray and keep God and others close in your heart. You are making this sacrifice to help others not get sick and also decreasing the possibility of a sudden and unmanageable stress on the healthcare system. God would want you to take these precautions. He wants us to live. Maybe this is a way to unite people with a common cause to defeat this virus. In the whole scope of most life cycles, this is a very tiny piece of it that we are being asked to social distance. The science is there and this is a huge global concern.

I've done ok on that too but yep, we have to give up church also. So sad that they are taking away our Lent. Everything is just so screwed up.

I'm auditioning soups for Wednesday. I think I am taking Ham and bean soup. I have a lb of navy beans and I might go to the super market and look for a small hand with a bone for dinner tomorrow so that I can make ham bone broth. We shall see.
This morning I signed up for a Beyond Diet Program for $37. I know I have all the tools I need but what I'm missing is direction of exactly what to eat and some recipes that are different from what I am eating. They sent me 44 salad recipes for free and they all look delicious, all measured and closely follows BLE. And there is a 14 day menu program. Like I said, I have all these tools already but felt I needed some different help. We shall see. It has a 90 day money back guarantee but I plan on doing this for at least two weeks. I also signed up for their Live Smart program that provides the meal plan. It is free the first month and then you pay for it but I intend to cancel prior to payment. Carol

My soup was a hit last night and the Pastor's 11 year old son ate 4 bowls of it. He is on a strict diet due to having seizures when he was a baby. He has adopted us as his honorary grandparents and it is nice because he doesn't have a cell phone and they only have a TV to watch movies. So I'm looking around for more gluten free soup recipes to take during Lent. Carol

Lets just say that February was a wash when it came to goals. However, giving up sweets for Lent is working so far. I am really trying to stick to BLE foods and weigh everything.

1. Walk with Wally most days
2. Give up S and F (I made shrimp bisque last night and it called for flour and I put it in to thicken. So what, bright line eating. I draw the line sometimes on leaving food out. The soup was loaded with pureed veggies and shrimp so whats a bit of flour? '
3. clean sewing room. (ha ha)
