LORI4CHRIST, I have a younger brother in Knoxville. I love it down there! We might be going down this summer, or sometime this fall. We haven't been down there in maybe 10 yrs. or more. It depends on how my DH is feeling etc.

New member here! We live on the SW side of Columbus between Hilliard and Grove City. I see several towns I know! My sis lived outside Zanesville and New Concord. I have a niece near Cambridge too.

Hi PSUHOUND, The campground we camped at for about 35 yrs. is in PA., partially in Ohio too. Have you ever heard of Pymatuming lake ? We loved it there. It was the Jamestown campground State Park. We loved it there. We camphosted there for 5 yrs. Until they got new management and they changed a lot of things. Not for the better ! Last yr. was the first yr. in 38 yrs. we didn't get to go camping ! We were not happy. It was first cause we didn't get called at this campground for hosting, then in Aug. we got hit with some really horrible news. DH has cancer !!! Like I mentioned, if you want you can check out my blogs.
We stored our TT. in a cave for the winters. We got her out about 3 weeks ago, so still have to clean her up. We always give her a good spring cleaning. Were waiting for some warmer weather. Everytime we do get a warm day or two, something else is going on.
DH is being treated for his CA. at the Cleveland Clinic, which is about 1 hr. 20 min. or more from here, depending on traffic and which way our GPS takes us. Depending on how early his appt. is, we go up the day before and stay at his sister's. They are only 8 miles from the Clinic. So sometimes were in Cleveland for 2-3 days. If his appt. it a little later in the AM or in the afternoon, we just go ourselves that morning, and come home that day. So it can take 1 - 3 days out of the week. This weather is so crazy any more !!! You don't know what you'll get till the day actually gets here, but can still change so fast !
Were going to wait another week or so and if we don't hear anything on hosting, we have to make up our mind on that other campground.

I am from SE Wisconsin and love camping! We are on our second trip of the season already! Our goal is to camp as much as possilbe this year.

Sounds exciting! We are planning on RVing nearly full time, soon, so will be pulling a larger 5th wheel than the one we have now. Currently, we have a 30 ft 5th wheel, the new one will be longer, one of the larger ones that are approved for full timing. We won't get it for about a year yet though. Planning on buying at next year's RV show in Dallas if we find something we really like that is discounted enough!

We decided on a pull trailer this year, due to better fuel economy. We have had large 5 th wheels before. This year it is a Jayco Eagle super lite with a large slide. 30ft. This way we can take scooters. We are from Texas. Packing now for the first camp-out of the season ! I love being out. Watch out trout here we come !!

We are buying a 2011 National carribbean M4340. Its a 35' diesel pusher so it can take the race car to the track and our toys camping (we have an enclosed trailer). It is selling for $15k UNDER its value and it is immaculate. Cannot wait!!

RZR is a 4 seater. It has OSHA approved roll cage around it. The stance has been widened so it is more stable. We are VERY cautios on the quads. I know accidents happen (I have been in 2 "good" accidents in 2 years). We have lots of safety gear and really try to be cautious.

That is scary that you know people who have been killed!

Good for you! What kind of coach are you buying? We just went to the Dallas RV show this past Thursday and Friday, and saw all the latest things in RV's! They are simply amazing now! What a wonderful time for you to be buying!

What is an RZR? Quads are definitely not my favorite thing. Know too many people who have been seriously injured and killed on them..............

Hello folks I live in rural New Brunswick,Canada. We do a little camping with our 5th wheel. We don't go far, have some favorite festivals that we go to every year (locally). Was looking for a camping team and came accross this one. Happy that I did!

So glad that you are here! We had a great trip to NY state, and then back home. Stayed a weekend in Virginia Beach which was amazing, too! (On the way home) Covered over 5,000 miles. Then, the 3rd week in January, went down to McAllen, TX in the Rio Grande Valley and spent a week. Actually we were in Pharr, TX which borders on McAllen, but McAllen is the town that everyone is familiar with. Hope to travel much more this year than last.

Patty, My granddaughter, Zoe, is 9 and hubby's granddaughter who is staying with us this weekend is 11. They get along very well together. We are just going for Saturday night so not long this time.

At the end of September through the first half of October, we are heading to NY state in the 5th wheel. We wil take our time driving up and stop and see the sights. Then, will take our time coming back, too. It will be nice to have a leisurely trip! We just got back from a 3 day trip to Denver and back, so we were really pushing it. We took 3 horses up there so camped in the front of the horse trailer, which is really small, but big enough for the 2 of us to be comfortable. We have a bed up over the gooseneck and also a shower/commode unit, a cupboard or two and a water tank. We didn't hook up anything but electric because the KOA campground in Raton, NM, had beautiful facilities! So, it was fun to get away to where it was cool for a couple of days.

Hi! Thank you all for the greetings! I'm not getting the camping in that I usually do but really like to camp in September & October. That's probably when we camp the most. When the fire feels good! In Iowa our Falls are Beautiful & cool. TXGRAM Have a fun time camping with your grandkids! How old are they? I don't have any yet.
Since I am newish I am looking for buddies..if anyone else is too I would be glad to make new friends. Of all the camping people I've met near & far they're the best.

Welcome, Patty! So nice to meet you! Glad you have joined us. Hubby and I are going on a weekend camping trip near home with our granddaughters (Saturday night only) this weekend.......

WE just returned from a trip to Denver and stayed two nights (in the sleeping quarters of our horse trailer) at a KOA campground in Raton, NM! What beautiful scenery it was, and the facilities were GREAT!!! Only $26 a night, too!
