Ugh! Too hot. I've been enjoying this little bit of a cool down. I think this heat makes me retain fluid no matter how much I drink. The scale hasn't budged a bit!

For me, there is no such thing as too hot. Even when I lived in Arizona or Puerto Rico. You do have to be smart though. Wear a hat when hiking, bring water, enjoy the pool when you can. I find you feel hotter when you don't do what you want because it is too hot. You are colder when you don't do things because it is too cold. And you forget the weather when you do what makes you happy.

Had an old ac given to me and I just put it in the bedroom. Concerned about the next electric bill, but I am feeling so off last few days. Not sleeping due to the heat doesn't help either. And my favorite summer time cure is a cool shower!

I have no need to go outside, so I can chill inside. We have central air, but with this heat, it's been too much for it, so DH hooked up a window AC in the LR, & that really keeps things under control. It actually can get too cold in here now! I've been wanting to hang outside, though, & I can't really. I think I could tolerate the heat, but not the humidity. I went outside yesterday briefly, but only after the sun went down.

I feel bad for DH because he's on vacation this week to expand the fence in the backyard, so he doesn't have a lot of choice, but to work in the heat. He takes lots of breaks, changes clothes often, & takes extra showers. We also have a pool, so that helps, but he's only been in it once. Yesterday, he grebbed our SIL, & they took the boat out for the 1st time. He had a riot, but said it was too hot. I'm not allowed to be in the sun due to the chemo treatments, so we have to remedy that (probably with a canvas top for the boat) before I go on it.

Get in the water if you can. Last night my tri-training group did a swim at Jamesville Beach followed by a 3 mile run. I jumped in the water after that.

I haven't done much with the heat like this.

I feel like I should be going to the gym and taking advantage of the climate controlled environment, but I have a feeling a lot of other people will have the same idea and it would be really crowded.
I've at least gotten in a few "On Demand" exercise videos. I do the 10-20 minute ones so I'm not exerting myself too much at once. I figure it's better than being totally inactive.

If I had thought about it, I would have gotten up earlier to workout in the morning before the sun comes up...but I find it's harder to fall asleep being so hot in my house...which makes it harder to get up in the morning. It's a vicious cycle.

I pretty much shut down. My problem is going from cool work out to 90+ to drive home to cool house to 90+ bedroom (we're in a finished attic). All the switching gives me a headache.

I worry about the kids....I don't want them just sitting around, but I don't want them running around outside either. DH has taken them to the pool every day this week.

Leslie, I'd TOTALLY bail!!! The amount of money ya'll would make is NOT worth heat stroke! And the BOSSES should have bought freaking ICE CREAM not fancy drinks....better yet, they should fix the AC!

I'd rather be camping!!!

how are you dealing with it? Any tips? Thoughts?
Kris can tell you, I am normally cold all the time, so I am loving this. But ac at work is broken and I work in big metal building... so the rest of the staff is HOT. I got them all iced Xiang's and Cucumber Waters yesterday from Sugar Pearl and it seemed to help.
Hardest part was early in afternoon the 2 bosses left to go to the club to swim and cool down. Uggghhhh made it harder for us stick there.
