I hear she's really good.

I'm reading An Affair with Mr. Kennedy by Jillian Stone. I really liked the first one, The Seduction of Phaeton Black.

that's a lot of kids! ... are the others in Minneapolis, too? My sister and brother and I are spread out, so my Mom has to do a lot of traveling if she wants to see us all.

I hope you enjoy Cowboy! :)

I go a couple times a week. Our oldest son now has the sheet metal shop and our daughter does the paperwork so I see two of our kids. We have 4 sons and 1 daughter.

I am reading Who Wants to Marry a Cowboy? The foal is about to be born. I like the humor and I understand the feelings like going into the greenhouse as I lost my husband in January and so many memories when I go into his area.

do you go to Minneapolis every day?

I'm beta-reading a romance right now, but I've been on a YA kick lately. Just finished "I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You" by Ally Carter.

Hello all,

I got another audio book at the library yesterday; it is Knit Two by Katie Jacobs. I find that the audios are a help when I drive into Minneapolis, which is about 50 minutes of so for me each way. I used to read when I had my husband and he drove.

I will begin A heart's Betrayal by Colleen Coble this morning.

Take care.

I finished the three books. I brought the audio book into the house and listened when I finished the prayer shawl this weekend.

I am now reading The Art of Losing Yourself by Katie Ganshert that I won from freshfiction.com. It is a pretty good book.

I have the audio book,Crooked House, by Agatha Christie so I will listen to it when I go into Minneapolis today.

Okay, that helps, if the topics are wildly different. :)

I don't know if I'd like a book called Skull Throne. Is it mystery? Fantasy?

The book was short and very easy to read.

I am reading Joan of Arc and it is taking lots of time because it is historical and lots of names, dates and places. Good read.

I am also reading And the Good News Is... by Dana Perino and it gets a little teary eyed in places.

I am listening to Mine is the Night by Liz Curtis Higgs when I drive into Minneapolis. It is almost an hour drive each way and helps pass the time. It is an historical fiction. The romance has not yet come into the picture.

Here is a review of a book I just read in an hour.

Book Review of A Heart's danger by Colleen Coble

A Heart's Danger (A Journey of the Heart #3)
by Colleen Coble

On the brink of war with the Sioux, a young woman risks everything to expose the betrayal threatening the man she loves.

Christmas is coming, and the air at Fort Laramie has turned cold . . . but relations with the Sioux have turned colder. As tensions between soldiers and natives approach a tipping point, Ben Croftner and Jessica DuBois prepare a trap for Rand Campbell.

Bitter from rejection and backfired plans, Croftner has enlisted the help of Rand's new fiancee to keep Rand from ever returning to Sarah Montgomery . . . for whom his heart clearly still yearns.

Sarah is simply trying to move on with her life at Fort Laramie, but doing so under the watchful eyes of both Campbell--the man whose love she craves--and Croftner--the man whose lies have cost her everything. Will Rand fall victim to the conspiracy and go through with his wedding? Or will he declare his love for Sarah and make good on the promises that brought her into the rugged western territories? (less)
Paperback, 100 pages
Published May 5th 2015 by Thomas Nelson

Leona's Review:

This is the first book I have read by Colleen Coble and even though it was a very fast read, it had a good story.

Sarah Montgomery is the main female character and Rand Campbell is the main male character; they have known each other for years. Rand is engaged to someone and thinks Sarah is in love with another.

Sarah has been kidnapped and Rand is searching for her in part of the story.

The author has written this book like she has been in the area. Flapjacks, jackrabbit, purple mountains, boot prints, a fort, sagebrush and other adjectives that place the reader in the area.
We have a villain, friendship, brothers, Sioux, love, survival, mystery and more in this short story.

God and faith are present in A Heart's Danger.

The book is dedicated to: In memory of my brother Randy Rhoads, who taught me to love the mountains of Wyoming, and my grandparents Everett and Eileen Everroad, who loved me unconditionally. May you walk those heavenly mountains with joy.

I am giving it a 4 star because it did hold my attention. I will read the other books of the series, Journey of the Heart. The books are: A Heart's Disguise, A Heart Obsession, A Heart's Danger, A Heart's Betrayal, A Heart's Promise and A Heart's Home. This is a series but the books can be read on their own.

Colleen Coble may be found: www.colleencoble.com, @colleencoble, and colleencoblebooks on Facebook. She is also on goodreads.com.

This is a Thomas Nelson & Zondervan Fiction. I was given a complimantary copy to read and review. The opinions are my own.

It is a somewhat of a biography but the first of the book is history of the times. I will post a review when I finish. I feel I am in History class.

I'm re reading Pamela Clare's I-Team right now, I'm on the last one, Striking Distance. Next up is Ella Grace's Wildfire series. I will re read the first two before I head into the newest one.

I'm trying to keep occupied until May when Sherrilyn Kenyon releases her next League book.

Got side tracked (again)...was about to start Dances with Wolf...and realized Jessica Scott has a new NA out..."Before I Fall" about a soldier and a girl who is taking care of her disabled vet dad and hates everything to do with the military...hawt and heartbreaking...
And now I'm back to Dances...which is also very good so far. Has an old time Linda Howard feel, almost.

I'm reading about six things...
I'm working on "The Girl on the Train" by Paula Hawkins, which isn't very romancy, either...it's a thriller, an "unreliable narrator" story, kind of like Gone Girl...which to me is something where I really don't like the protagonists, but can't stop reading anyway...

It's also release day for my publisher, so I'm heading to Crack Alley (Amazon) to stock up on all the .99 deals from them, check out what everyone else is doing.

And then I'm going to be plotting my next brilliant story idea...

Not reading the messages lately.

Abby- Rhett Butler's People was authorized by the Margaret Mitchell estate and really a good read. I am like you and rarely read an "update".

Re-reading Francis, Man of Prayer by Mario Escobar I received to read and review. I am going to give it to the priest who had the Mass for my husband's services.

I love the Joanne Fluke sries. I have some on the shelf to read.
