I get weighted every 3 months during my diabetic check-up. I had heard it wasn't good to weigh yourself too much hehehe.

I weigh in nearly every day, plus once a week at Weight Watchers. I need the accountability, and would rather see the number more frequently than be surprised by a big gain.

I weigh myself every morning before I get dressed to monitor my progress, but only log my official weight when I am down. The little variations daily are reminders that I need to be aware of everything I ingest. The only way to lose weight is to burn more calories than we put in our body. Every day gives us a fresh start regardless of how much we messed up yesterday. My doctor strongly suggested surgery, but I am determined to do it on my own.

One day at a time.

Once a week is my goal...but usually I am not patient enough to wait. Last year, I weighed in several times a day. Drove me nuts! Also, i only count Mondays weight as the official weight for the week.

I usually weigh several days a week(2-3) while at the Y. Sometimes I've gained but mostly I get rid of the weight. Have gotten rid of over 30# so far. I think you have to weigh yourself by how you look at it. For me, it helps motivate me to know the numbers. But I also go by the fact that I had to get new smaller clothes because the old were slipping off my hips! And also I can see where changing my eating and drinking habits has really worked. And then I think wow I can do even better! So do what feels right for you and helps you stay motivated to keep on getting healthy. emoticon

Being healthy is so worth it!

I normally weigh every day but when I do one day the scales may read heavier or lighter than the day before.Which can be frustrating especially wen the scales say that I gained three pounds or more over night ...What a let down! So I will be doing weekly weigh in starting Monday.

Once a week on a "weightless" scale...I love it...don't see the weight...just the pounds lost.

Every day. Sometimes use both my scales--- a digital and a traditional tall doctor office weight balance. No it is not wrong...for me. I have reached goal weight by losing 123 lbs and it helped to stay on track. You have to face the number and stay focused. I am maintaining now, and I still weigh everyday for I fear regaining weight. Do what works for you.

I will lose 95 pounds in 2019 (goal of 160 lbs).

When I used to belong to Weight Watchers I always weighed myself again after the weekly meeting, just so that I could keep track of the differences between their scale and my own.

These days I don't have any real schedule for weighing myself - sometimes I do it every week, other times it might be just once in a while. I don't fuss about what the scales says any more, I rely more on how I feel, how my clothes fit, etc.

This method isn't right for everyone, but it works fairly well for me - at least that is what I would like to think! emoticon emoticon emoticon

The recommendation is once a week - that way you don't get freaked out by the daily ups and downs but it's often enough that you can catch a trend and do something about it if you need to.

That said, I had the gastric sleeve surgery in mid-November and I'm always curious to see what the current weight is so I tend to do it every day or every other day. I know I need to stop that, though, lol.

I am not sure if its a good idea to weigh in everyday, once a week, or less often.. What do you think?
