I started using a varidesk and I have an app on my phone. Stand 1 hour - Sit 1 hour. I try to take a quick 5 minute walk before transitioning from standing to sitting.

February's main goal is 6000+ daily steps!

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Thought I'd follow this thread for awhile looking for inspiration! I'm not doing so well right now in the healthy habits area... Up until about 8 months ago, I was doing well walking - getting between 7,000 and 11,000 steps daily. Then my I started experiencing incredible pain in my left knee and even with a cortisone shot, which improved the pain somewhat, I've been struggling to get 6,000 steps daily. Often I'm at the 2 - 3,000 level and the weather didn't help. The last week or so I've done well, over 8,000 steps daily. It has helped being in Arizona (Phoenix area) rather than Washington right now! I head back to WA next Thursday - I hope to continue, or at least not drop below 6k.

- Nancy -

I am/can do better than this!

BURNINGTHYME101 and CAPECODLIGHT those are wonderful habits to be working on!

Not my major 3 at this point but I love to count steps (I have a FitBitCharge2) Started at 4000 steps at first, which at the time seemed a lot, and am up to reaching for 6000 "daily". At this point I go up and down but not steady. (Was doing better in the warm weather because my husband and I would walk in the evenings.) Myabe 10,000 will be on the horizon! :) emoticon

I have three that are my focus. When I am on target, I lose weight. So I am refocusing on these three: 1.Drink water - aim for 8 cups a day. 2. Track my food. I won't lie to myself and I feel guilty writing down things I shouldn't eat so this helps me. 3. Get up and move 10 minutes a day! Doesn't seem like much, but it works. You will be glad you did and sometimes when you get started you keep going.
So what are your goals? and how are you doing?

Every day is a new beginning! Carpe Diem!
