Hello! I'm Christi, and I've been apart of SparkPeople for a LONG time. I originally joined in 2007 after having my second son to lose the baby weight. Thanks to SP I was able to lose almost 80lbs, and maintained that weight loss until 2013, when my sickness started. I had just remarried, and almost instantly I was in and out of the hospital, in and out of doctors offices, taking tons of medications, being put through rigorous testing, and gaining weight at a rapid pace. What's sad is they didn't know what was wrong with me then, and they still don't know.

During that time I gained over 100lbs due to limited mobility, and the meds that I was on. I have been stuck ever since. A few years ago, with getting no answers and still being in pain, I gave up on life. I just existed, going through the motions day in and day out. I was still a wife and a mom, but my heart just wasn't in it.

That all changed a few weeks ago, when me and my husband had a heart to heart. He is a very quiet man, so when he speaks during conversations like this what he says is usually pretty powerful.

What he said to me changed my life.

He told me that he's never had a wife in the 7 1/2 years that we've been married. It was right then and there, with tears streaming down my face, that I woke up from this trance that I had been on. I had to get back up and fight.

So, that's why I'm here. I'm going back to the beginning, re-learning everything, and coming back to the site that helped me so much before. I cannot wait to get to know you guys, and love that we are getting to do this journey together.
