Great job! Keep it up! I've been doing weight watchers and running and step aerobics and hiking since October 2008. I've gone from 213lbs and a size 20 to 132lbs and a size 4. I'm in weight watchers maintenance phase. I'm trying to learn how to maintain my weight. With my weight loss, my high blood pressure is gone, my swelling legs are gone, and I can sleep through the night (no sleep apnea). I wanted to share my success so everyone would know that weight loss is attainable if you stick with it!

Starting SP on 10/09/09 was 242 lbs
Last week - 225.4 lbs
This week 223.8 lbs
Weekly Loss 1.6 lbs

Total loss since 10/09/09 is 18.2 lbs ---I am very pleased with the results. 1 month has already gone by :O) almost at the 20 lb mark in 1 month...WOW!!! Also lost 17.25 inches.

Weigh in day is Sundays :O)

If you're running a marathon, and you stumble, it may add a second to your time, but it doesn't keep you from finishing the marathon. The marathon is more important than the stumble. :)

Congrats on losing 25 lbs! I admire you for having that drive. It's so inspiring for me as a beginner to see people who have that kind of resolve and success.

Great work, everybody! What an inspiring bunch!

I just finished my second week.

Starting weight: 168.0
Week 1: 163.6, 4.4 lbs lost
Week 2: 162.8, 0.8 lbs lost, 5.2 lbs total
Goal: 118.0, 50 lbs lost by 10/08/10

I had a little bit of a "second-week slump". But considering that I blew off exercise for nearly half the week, I'm satisfied with the result.

I've stayed in my nutritional guidelines without straying for the full two weeks, which is pretty amazing to me. I'm not saying I haven't had treats, just that I've planned for them. I don't think I've ever effectively stayed with any plan this long. I feel really good.

Keep on trucking, everyone!

Awesome job everyone!! I am looking forward to weighing in on Sun even if I stay the same or lose a small amount due to a little slip up at the beginning of the week. I will also be measuring myself as it will be a month already with SO!! WOW does time fly...LOL

Be back on Sunday to post my results

I lost several pounds when I first joined SP in June but then life happened and I gained back those and then a bit more. After going to the doctor and finding I have high blood pressure I realized again the need to lose weight. I have gone on a low salt diet but haven't been controlling what I eat really well. I excercise every morning and have just started swimming 3 afternoons a week. I haven't lost any weight in the last 2 weeks but feel much better and my clothes are fitting better.

Up 0.4 lbs from last week.

I was at the mercy of "camp food" for 3 days at a retreat. I did my best at portion control & guesstimates w/out having access to my SP food tracker. (I did write everything down & plugged it into the tracker when I got back) Plus, I was constantly surrounded by snack foods. I still think I did well in spite of it all...especially when my retreat ended on Halloween & (of course) participated in that tradition with my family. Last year, I would've eaten a whole bag of fun size Snickers without blinking. This year...just a few. Being aware of how many calories in each one of those is eye opening.

Using my WII fit to weigh in, last week was about 202.5 this week 199.5. I'm not sure how accurate the number is but I know I lost a couple of pounds anyways WOOHOO!

A_BELLE I believe towards the top of your page if you scroll over my tools and then choose start from the drop down menu, I think you'll find the weight tracker in there.

I have not lost any weight again this week. Last week I lost inches, but haven't measured yet today either - being lazy! I don't want to measure now cuz it is the middle of the afternoon and I still feel full from lunch and all my water intake. Maybe tomorrow.

Hi everyone! Happy Halloween to all!

This is my first week with SP. I have lost 2.2 lbs! I am really excited about this because my goal is for 1.5 lbs/week. I have exercised everyday but am still retaining alot of water. Anyhow, I am proud of myself that I was able to control my eating habits and have a substantial weekly weight loss! If I continued like this for 1 year I would loose 104 lbs! That's not bad!

HI Everyone,
I'm Annie and this is my first week back at Sparkpeople in over a year. I am actually up 3 pounds since this time last year. I'm up 80 EIGHTY!!! pounds since meeting my husband 12 years ago. I'm so disappointed I've let it get so far but I'm going to REALLY work at it this time. And since 80 is a LOOOONG way to go (and ideally I'd like to loose a total of 114) I'm going to set my goals in 10 pound increments.
Wish me luck! (I'm starting today on purpose.....so I won't eat anymore halloween candy!!!!!)

Didn't lose any weight but lost 1/2 inch on my waist, 1 1/2 off my hips and 1 inch off my thighs, so something is working.

I too lost the first 20 pounds very quickly and easily and now struggle to get a pound a week. I have upped the cardio also. But I am seeing results, just not necessarily on the scale. As long as I see something I am happy.

Hi guys, I have a question, up to my first 20 lbs lost I was loosing 1-2 lbs a week consistently, when you progress along does weightloss slow? I am now only loosing .5-1.0 lbs a week and have not changed anything, I have added more strength training, more cardio so I dont get why the weight loss slowed, is that normal?

All4BMI that can happen from one scale to the next. Don't stress about it just now you will see how you do on this new scale. I know my grandmother told me she's three pounds lighter on her scale then any other scale so she makes sure to add those 3 pounds. Good Luck!
