I doubt it. My apartment complex is having a party this weekend, so I may go to Walgreens and find an eye patch or something. Definitely not doing anything elaborate.

I probably won't, but I have to help Mr. create one for his company party. I'm trying to talk him in to Bunnicula, but he's not "biting." *groan*

I haven't worn a costume in many years. Mostly because I haven't had anywhere to wear one to. I go trick or treating with the kids but with 4 kids it is too time consuming to have to dress myself up too. I am going to a costume party this year with some friends to see a band play - I might dress up this year for that.

Not sure! I bought a costume last year for the first time in my adult life. I wore it to a party. I don't think people repeat costumes for parties though, do they? *shrug* I'll at least wear it every year to hand out candy! Cookie Monster. The little kids all looked at my slightly confused and said, "Elmo???" No, kid, Cookie Monster.

Feeling happy and energetic.

the last time I dressed up, I got fired.
Wasn't racy or anything, just a wig.

My daughter wants to be a ladybug this year. She is 9 and wants to make the costume and not buy one.

Hope I can make the time to help her with it, need a day off to get all the stuff to make it.

If I can find the right clothes in a thrift store (getting easier as I get smaller!), I plan to go as a Reveur from The Night Circus. Basically that entails wearing all black clothing from the early 20th or late 19th century, with a red scarf. I know a lot of people won't get it, but I'll have a blast with it!

Not sure if I'll dress up this year. We're trying to figure out what our 2 year old will be. We usually take him to the store and pick out a few and let him pick from that.

Yes I'm dressing up for a couple family parties plus when I take the kiddo out. I'm going to be Cleopatra and the hubby is Caesar. Gotta love the $20 Walmart costumes!

CJ, I know what you mean about no more plus size costumes. Last year I bought a tight 18-20 and this year was a roomy 8-10. I was beaming like an idiot in the check out line!

My husband and I have rented costumes in the past to go out with friends but not really our thing anymore. Kids are all grown and we don't get trick-or-treaters at our house since we live in the middle of nowhere so no dressin' up for us :(

I don't think I will be dressing up this year, but if I decide to at the last minute we have a few costumes around the house I can choose from. My kids want me & my husband to dress up as Ms. McGonagall & Dumbledore from Harry Potter. But that too much work and money since we're missing the Halloween party this year.

I probably will not be dressing up this year. I just don't get into it like I used to, it's not practical to dress up at work in my job, and it seems like a waste to me to get a costume to only wear while walking aorund with the kiddos in the evening. I am hoping to find something for the bloodhound, though becasue - I'm sure that's practical in some alternate universe :)

I am not sure, I have a couple of costumes I haven't worn in a long while, but I don't fit in them anymore =(. Hmm. ... good goal for next year! We will see what happens when it rolls around this year!

I am planning on dreassing up as Joan from Mad Men. I have a dress that will work, so will only have to get the hair in order (and hope my glasses won't throw the whole look off), and get a waist shaper of some sort.

I haven't decided if I'll dress up or not. It's usually a last minute decision for me, so I end up just throwing something together from what I have.

I will probably be Thing One from The Cat in the Hat again. I have a red sweatsuit and a blue wig. Then I cut out a white circle of paper, write Thing 1 on it and pin it to the shirt. My younger cub scouts like it!! If money is an object, try thrift stores. They usually have loads of inexpensive costumes. I got my favorite Jigsaw mask at one but remember to wash before wearing.

Are you going to wear a Halloween costume this year?

Last night my wife got some costumes for the kids that the food pantry was giving away, and so that got me thinking about what I want to wear for Halloween. (My 2 year old has the cutest Tootsie-Roll costume, for what it's worth)

I really want to wear a costume, but need to see where the finances are before I try to find anything. I might have to make up something with the pieces of stuff I have at home. This is the first year that I don't have to find a Plus Size costume, so I really hope I can find something, but it's also got to be really inexpensive.

Start: 286 (6/5/10)
Previous Lowest: 222 (8/31/08)

Goals:
Next Milestone: 222 -12/21/10 reached
Then: 220 by Christmas 2010 (reached 12/31/10)
Then: 207 (reached 2/12/11)
Then: 200 (reached 3/1/2011)
Final: 180 (reached 4/23/2011) - 173 reached on 4/30/11
Currently in reevaluation stage as to next goal

(fit into a medium again - goal reached 2/17/11!!!)
