hello DINAHMOHUM
how are you doing?
well I weigh my self every week , same day in the morning .
you are right , if you weigh yourself once a month then its harder to see your progress.
why don't you start weighing yourself every 2 week same day around the same time.
i wish you all the best on you weigh loss journey:)

Yummum, it's possible, but be careful. Everything I am reading says to take it slow when loosing this kind of weight. I have a little over 100 to loose total, so I know exactly where you are.

What is 100kg in other words? Sorry lol been a long time since I remember it. Also the tracker is on your profile page. Just click on My Tools then right under My Commuinty click on view myspark page then you see where it say edit my sparkpage click on that area and right under where your teams are where you join a team there is an area that show your bar and weight and stuff at just click on Yes! Show Weight Loss Ticker and also click on Show my starting weight, goal weight, and current weight (example starting 180, goal 160, current weight 170) and then go down to the bottom of the page and you will see Save Your Changes click on that and your tracker should be on any posts you post unless theres a short way to do that instead of the way I just said lol.

Stupid question. Last few days all I been eatting was crackers and here or there I added something on it to eat. And also some odd reason out of those days I ate french fries and a cheese burger but not to worry about that but last few days all I can eat and think of is to eat crackers. Is it just all in my head and it will go away and I be able to eat other things. Just feel like thats the only thing I want to eat last few days. I know I throw in some Pepsi in it somewhere lol but thats only thing thats was on my mind to eat last few days is that good or bad?

Thats how I felt almost the whole day today should say yesterday whatever Saturday was lol. Was standing up walking around outside for 3 hours. When I gotten back inside wanted to get onto the computer did but only stood on for 30 minutes and went to sleep was sleeping for about 4 hours gotten up I was still in pain. I just think my body isn't use to have doing stuff outside for that long. Most times feel like I am dragging myself when i am outside cause sometimes it do get to me and I chould easy feel the somewhat pain I have from doing all the stuff I be doing outside that day lol.

I weigh myself every morning. If it is down.. I am happy, if it is up it just makes me work harder to bring that weight down.. Last night i had a really good workout at the gym so when I stepped on the scale this morning and seen that I was at 199.4 under the 200 mark it made me feel really good. I hope to go only one way...Down...

i like to weigh myself a lot for motivation, but unfortunately i have a medical condition that makes my weight fluctuate about 6 lbs a day or so, and especially at certain times of the month it can fluctuate about 15 lbs in 1 day!....so on those days, should i just take the average or just not look at the scale so much? any suggestions welcome :) hope everyone has a good day!

Omega,
you can make the change. I have had those days and know how it goes. Just remember this is a healthy lifestyle change and not a diet, so you will have those days; just start fresh and keep going.

I think it is all personal preference. I know it keeps me more motivated, the more I weigh myself. However, I only track my weight once a week. I feel by doing this I can catch myself before my weight starts to go up too fast.

Hello 20-somethings!! I am trying to only weigh myself once a month. Do you think this is a wise decision? I want to see a big number, once a month. But... then I won't be able to see if I am doing things right or not. How often does everyone weigh in? Do you think you do it too much or not enough?

Hey all! Last year I shed 10 lbs in two weeks, I was stoked. But it took about another month and a half to shed another 10 lbs. I had a long talk with my mom (a WW leader) about my concerns. Apparently its normal to lose a lot immediately, then our bodies start to even things out as we start to adjust to the new life-style. Keep up the good work, and pay attention to measurements. The first thing I noticed in my weight loss last year and recently was that my natural hour glass shape is coming through again! Also pay attention to things that are shaping up again, because sometimes inches and pounds won't show that - but you notice things that look better. Don't let the number on the scale be your only sign of success :-)

Yea, I hear you, I lost 7lbs the first week, I was hoping I was going to keep a trend going with loosing a little etch week.. I got on the scale and no movement, I do see however my clothes starting to fit me better.. So i am assuming the inches are coming off but i guess with the workouts we build muscle and maybe that's why the scale does not move.. I don't know, I am so confused.

Don't give up! For the whole month of Aug. and some of Sept. I had the exact same problem. Then, right before I gave up, I suddenly couldn't keep my favorite pair of jeans up. I was so shocked. I jumped on the scale and no change, but WOW I lost my first dress size. First week of October I went shopping, really had no choice, and my undies are now 2 sizes smaller!! I see it more and more in my arms and legs, not my middle so much, but the arms and legs are a great start. You can measure yourself here and keep track that way too! Everything I have read says that loosing as much as I have to loose has to be done slowly and with weight training, so just know you are keeping it healthy. Best of luck!

So I have boycotted the scale. I refuse to weigh myself for the next 3-4 weeks. I have been at a standstill for 3 weeks with no weight loss and instead of getting upset or frustrated about it, I've decided to not weigh myself. I know that I am building muscles from my workout's and that weighs more than fat. It's going to take some time and I'm trying to be patient. I am seeing some definition in my arms which is totally exciting for me. emoticon Even the inches are taking their sweet time coming off, I swear my body is rejecting it's new routine. hahaha

MXROMO2,

Congrats on the elliptical! I recently made myself 'love' it. I seriously was so against it.. but now I realize its so much easier on the joints and its SUCH a better workout than walking on the treadmill!

Dance exercise is what I have found actually works for me. Mainly because my kids get up there and do it with me. Half the fun is watching them trying to figure out what they are doing.

Positive people bring positive changes!

I can do this!!!! And you can't stop me no matter what you try to do!!!

Hey Everyone, Where do we find our names and what team we are on.. oh yea also my update from yesterday.

Ok, so I did the firm 500 calorie workout, and now I see why you would burn the 500 calories.. That instructor is non stop.. I did not do the whole hour i did 30 min..and was tired.. It is more of a dancing workout, not my thing, so if anyone would like the video, i will be glad to send it to you.. I have exercise of demand i will be using. Let me know

JBoy try using the recipe section. I find lots of things that are easy to make and very tasty. They even give you calorie counts as well as being able to import right into the food log. :)

Jboy, I use sparks as a general guide. I don't actually use their meal plan, but others say it works well. It's on their nutrition tracker you just have to make sure you have it showing meals.
