Did upper body ST this morning, but didn't have time for aerobics before I had to prep for a client meeting. If I don't get my whole workout done in the morning, I simply don't go back to it.

Today, I went back to it. Realized I had 30 minutes of cooking time that I wasn't needed in the kitchen, so hopped on the ski machine.

I walk 5 laps of the indooor track at school. I did 15 minutes on the treadmill at 2.0 speed and I did some work with the machines(about 10 minutes). It is not a lot of time or calories burned but it is movement. This is great, already feeling healthier.

Good Morning everyone, Silly me forgot my 10pm meds, so I had a little dystonia last night not bad, woke up because I was hot and had to get up with some twisting in my left leg, at first when I woke up it felt like the twisting was in a distant room ' that was different' and I think that is a result from the herbs and GABBA. Other wise I slept well, I am going to Maggie's today, riding my bike 12 miles round trip, no gym today will be at Maggie's from 10-5 at least.
Mari, hang in there it will get easier just repeat the videos you will catch on to the moves. I was like that in classes I still am like that in classes unless I am in the front of the class and right behind the instructor , I get confused with what we are doing , I have dyslexia so I go the wrong way a lot of the time. The important thing is keep moving! Big hugs.

Recanting my opinion on the 28 Day Boot Camp video. I've had the opportunity to view other exercise videos, including the Richard Simmons Dancing to the Oldies video, and found those to be just as hard to follow as the 28 Day Boot Camp video. I have come to the realization that because I have never following an exercising routine before, whatever exercise I plan on doing, if it is on a video, I will find it difficult to follow for a period of time. :( Marilyn

Hi all!
I had another wonderful night's sleep, no dystonia. Had a great day yesterday, rode my bike downtown for the concert 6 miles roundtrip , did some window shopping and came home and watched the football games. Today I was at Maggie's from 9-5:30pm , rode my bike 12 miles , we had an 80 degree day it felt like spring with higher humidity. The babies are changing and are so much fun. It was a very pleasant day. I am feeling better almost an entire week now with no headache and no dystonia and wonderful sleep since starting the adaptogen herbs and gabba at night.

Overdid the exercise on saturday, therefore didn't do any yesterday. Going to do my normal 20 min T-tapp, and 1 hour walking today. I usually do a some yoga before bed. Getting this thing done :) Sure wih I had more family support than I do :(

WTG Donna and Laurie on your exercise.
I had a great day home with my beau, he rode over from Jupiter on his bicycle more than 20 miles each way. I made chicken breasts with spinach, mushroom , ricotta filling and then a veggie side dish with 3 kinds of peppers, tomatoes, onions garlic , yellow and green squash, and fruit for dessert. Was a beautiful day here in the mid 70's. I had another symptom less night and slept all night , love this new herb!
YAY, maybe tomorrow morning I will awake with my old energy we will see. ;).

So I've been AWOL for quite some time. I have allowed misery, life, depression, the list goes on, get in my way. I am beginning to swim again & am taking it slow. All I am doing is laps with the kick board or the hand paddles. This last week I haven't been able to get into the pool due to major storms here on the coast but I went today & ended up in tears. The weather has my knees in an uproar & the movement in the water today has just made it worse. I will be taking the weekend to take care of the aches & pains, then Monday morning I will be back in the water. I wish there was more that I could do but I know for now that this is the best thing I can do.

I have found myself 41, unemployed & unemployable. School is not an option (trust me I have tried to get back in) & Voc. Rehab. is helping me find a job. Frustrated with having to be patient. I think this series of storms is His way of reminding me, & others, exactly who is in charge. Certainly isn't me.

Hopefully I am back on here more often.

HI everyone!
I feel very well! YAY! This new adaptogen herb seems to be helping a lot. Rhodiola , I got it from Beyond a Century online , I slept last night , no dystonia symptoms at all! YAY! even after the long bike ride the only thing that hurt was my bottom. I rode my bike 12 miles today round trip to Maggie's and back. Beautiful weather down here! Sunny and warm , cooler than yesterday but still postcard beautiful !
Mari wtg on your progress. Blisters are the pits, I have had them , if you got it from walking , get some socks made for walking and or spinning that wick the sweat away from your feet. They are a bit pricey about $10 a pair from the running shoe store they may be cheaper online but they are worth the price because you shouldn't get anymore blisters when you wear them. I use to get them all of the time until I invested in a few pair of them all of the time walking and running when I use to do that ( before I destroyed my knee 2 years ago ) , got them on the bottom of my feet , the sides of my feet, between my toes where ever my socks would rub while I was walking and the sweat was there. The sweat wicking thinner socks were the answer. There are those things you can get at the pharmacy you can put on the blister I forget what it is called ' New skin' that hikers use , go to the section on foot stuff and you will see it you cut to fit over the blister and it is like a cushion so you can walk with the blister. I used that a lot when I had blisters.

Mari, sorry I don’t know about blisters. My mother used to “lance” (pierce) our blisters, but I don’t know if that’s a good idea or not. As for losing only 3 or 4 pounds a month, that sure is better than nothing! Some ideas: 1. Weigh yourself less often (say, once a month). That way at least you’ll be going down, instead of up and down. 2. Keep in mind that not all diets are suited to all people, and some of us can’t “just use will power” or “just eat less.” Some experimenting might be in order. Me, I could NEVER follow a diet for longer than an hour or two (that is, until the next uncontrollable urge hit me)—that is, until I tried Atkins. It works for me because I don’t get those uncontrollable urges while on Atkins. But again, it’s not for everyone. 3. Keep in mind also that some of us need to exercise A LOT in order to lose anything at all. Like 2 hours a day (or more) of cardio and weights. Don’t listen to those who say 30 minutes 3 times a week is enough—it might be enough for them, but they’re not you. 4. Also, certain types of exercise, although not strenuous, seem to improve some people’s metabolisms, e.g., yoga. They can regulate the glands and organs in a way that he-man exercises might not. Personally I’m enjoying T-Tapp these days; in only 15-40 minutes a day I’m noticing various improvements, although I admit that I haven’t lost any weight. I hope you will keep trying different things until you find what’s right for you—never mind what’s right for somebody else.

I walked on the treadmill 24 minutes - I started at 10 minutes and am trying to increase minutes each day. Hope to make it 30 soon, then begin to increase intensity.

Good Morning Everyone, I pray you all are doing well. I have a blister on the botton of my foot this morning, this happen to anyone else? It hurts when i walk on it, any ideas on how I can make it not hurt so much when I go on the treadmill?.. Thanks to all who commented on my weightloss so far.. Whenever I tried losing weight in the passed, I always lost between 15 and 20 lbs the first month, after that I was lucky if I lost 3 or 4 lbs, it got very hard. I am prepared mentally for that now and will not let it discourage me..I am hoping however, that once I start the 28 day boot camp video the 1st of feb that will help remove pounds.. I had a look at the video, the warm up part and thought, if that's the warm up, the actual exercise will kill me...LOL.. I'm looking forward to it though.. Have an awesome great day all..God Bless.. Hi all!
I didn't go to Maggie's today just tutored my student and then this afternoon went on a long bike ride along the atlantic. We had a warm day about 80 degrees, it was beautiful I rode 24 miles on my bike to the Nuclear power plant and back so rode my bike a total of 26 miles today. I feel a lot better today. My rhodiola an adapagen herb came today drank a cup with 250 mg of it in it and it made me feel very mellow . Will do some more of it before I go to sleep.

Tamar good luck with the surgery! Remember it isn't like you are just going to be lying in the hospital or rehab, recovery takes a lot of calories and the pain level takes calories, watch what you take in , take care of you as well and heal well! My friend Bob just had both knees replaced the 14th of last month and he has lost over 6 pounds without trying in recovery and rehab. Big hugs!

Busy day, so I did only 20 minutes of T-Tapp.
I went to a meeting at the clinic and weighed myself on the scale there. Still 180 pounds, so still no weight loss. BUT I'm seeing changes in my shape, and my muscles feel harder. Yay!

Hi all,
I saw my neurologist today, he thinks 'the zone' plan with the restrictive carbohydrates are triggering the migraines told me to tweak my carbohydrates upwards and see if that helps with the headaches says he has seen this before with his neurology patients with the zone and south beach and other carbohydrate restrictive diet plans. He also gave me a drug sample to try with the next migraine when it starts and to let him know how things are working or not working I go back in 2 months. My headache went away and so did my dystonia symptoms when I added carbs on Saturday. I slept 9 1/2 hours last night and had no dystonia symptoms, I still have no energy though and he said he could tell by looking at me that I don't feel well. He says my goal is to feel better and get back to the gym because that is what makes me feel better. YUP! I was crying in his office because I was so frustrated with not feeling well. that never happens.

Mall walked for 30 minutes. Weighed in today and lost 2.1 lbs!!! After hurting my back I had to take it easy and do only light activity but, I still lost weight. I'm really psyched!!!!

Having a hard time with this ankle. I have a hole in the bone also I have torn and rip Ligament and Tendons, And doctor told me Monday that I can not go back to my Job ever. But I am still trying did Elliptical for 50min. Burned 340 Cal. Had to stop due to pain and burning and foot going numb. Have A great Day my friends

LAURIEREND - Thanks it sounds like something I might be interested in, I will look it up.
