I went for a walk even though it was 30 some degrees out! Nice warm cap, two layers, and a warm winter coat. It wasn't ideal but it wasn't nearly as bad as I would have thought!

Water and walking! I brought my lunch to work both yesterday and today ( a deli sliced chicken and cheese sandwich on whole grain bread w/ gk yougart.

AND with my weigh in this week, I can see the whole word "START" on my ticker!!

I checked in to SP, started with a light breakfast (nectarine and yogurt). Getting a large (30 oz) mug of ice water. Walked 1.2 miles with my dog. Now getting ready to start today's homework for my online masters degree. 1st wk of the 2nd year is almost done. 2 years to go till graduation.

This morning I resisted the urge to get a big unhealthy breakfast sandwich as a "2nd breakfast" at work. I was really hungry, despite having already eaten, but I made do with my healthy snacks until lunchtime.

While I plan to enjoy my share of holiday treats, I am also working to keep things in moderation. I have consciously decided not to print out some enticing recipes I hadn't planned on.

I will make sure to get plenty of exercise over the holidays.

I am thinking about my various successes and failures in 2015 and about what excuses I had, and thinking hard about what I will do differently in 2016.

I will be doing some water aerobics later on. I have been taking small steps to prevent holiday chaos and stress. I got a couple of chores done this morning before work, and now I'm trying to tie up some loose ends so I can figure out my workouts (need to accommodate different schedules from my normal routines) and plan healthy meals.

Good for you, getting out for your walk! I overdid it a little trying to do extra walking earlier this week, so now I am trying to pay attention to what my knee is telling me and not aggravate it...

I packed a healthy salad and snacks to bring to work.
I took a few minutes to do some quick chores and did a little organizing to prevent me from becoming too stressed out.
