I have a set of the DVD's but my player has been on the blink. If someone has a big enough space, I'd be glad to bring them and we could have a small class. I work in Chula Vista and come up the 805 and 94 west to home in South Park. emoticon

I have the Wii Zumba and it is harder for me than the regular videos, but I think it is because the "person" you are following is just a silhouette and I am not that familiar with all the moves yet. My daughter is a veteran Zumba dancer and thinks the Wii is easy and fun.

It is my ambition to lead a quiet life minding my own business and working hard. 1Thessalonians 4:11

I've always wanted to try Zumba! It looks so fun!!! Jocelyn suggested having a Zumba rally for us San Diego Sparkers (again). I think that would be awesome! We should try to do one!

I absolutely LOVE Zumba!

The Curves club in Santee has them and they are open to the public ($5/30 min $10/1hr). They do two 30 min classes back to back which is nice because then you can leave after one if you have to get somewhere.

I like the videos. Haven't tried the wii yet but want to. But I'm social, so nothing pushes me harder than the energy of being with friends. Being all women its more fun than pressure to (no guys to impress emoticon )

Plus a lot of the ladies use these belly-dance-like wraps that jingle. They say it makes you work more because you can hear how much you are or aren't moving. I tried it and I they were right! And of course you can do that at home too if you want an extra self-push.

I think that the classes are really motivating, I have the DVD's but haven't really tried them much and I also have the Zumba 2 game for the wii. I have only been doing it for a couple days, but for me it kind of just gives you points for whatever you do because I can't imagine that I am really doing all the dances that well, lol.

I wonder if there is a Zumba for the Kinect. I love the Wii but only for the Wii Fit to be honest.

I do that toooo!! HEHEHee. I know it might be wrong, but something within me feels the need to perform when I have something to prove! HAha.

I used to go to classes at my old gym and LOVED them. Currently I have the wii version which is fun, but not as nice as a real class. I think in some ways during a class there's a bit of competition that sneaks in as well, both with yourself/your past performance and with others dancing near you. Something about not wanting to be the weak fat girl makes me try harder in a class than I do at home :)

I have to admit I get a strange satisfaction when I'm dancing better/harder than someone half my size... that's probably very wrong...

There's a Zumba game available on the Wii, too!

I love Zumba, too. I usually take classes, but this weekend I tried some DVDs with SparkFriends. It was fun (especially because they were there). I've also done a little from YouTube, but there's nothing like having the energy from other people.

It's weird because normally I'm very introverted, and physical activity is a solitary thing for me. But for Zumba I kinda want to perform in front of strangers, to disprove what I imagine their misconceptions to be, I suppose. Plus I love to dance.
