My area is in phase 4. Church is allowed 33%. We call they will let you know if there is space for you. They asked those that live close to the church not to come, watch on Facebook live then for 45 min. after mass they give communion to those who watched it on TV.

they have holy water in automatic soap dispensers at each of the entrances.

after each mass church is disinfected. Not all masses are said in church yet. as more people are allowed i am sure they will add some.

Right now, my archdiocese is telling people with pre-existing conditions to continue to stay home. I fall into this category, so I still watch the Masses over Facebook Live. I watched one today at 3 p.m. from Rome. We have been dispensed until September 6, at which time the archdiocese will decide how to proceed. I will continue watching the archdiocese website for guidance.

I am a gluten-free vegetarian with IBS-C who received her Sacraments of Initiation on June 28, 2020 and now can receive Communion at every Catholic Mass I attend.

our parish started having parishoners back to mass again a few weeks ago - but only two masses a day - 7:30 English Speaking and the noon Spanish mass. I am still staying home with mom, though, who is 93 - my son has gone to mass, though. Our parish live streams the mass on Facebook and of course we have EWTN. It will be good to get back there in person, though.

Bob..that's nice you got to mass..

I heard our church will pick only 10 people that want to go to mass..
Area where we sit has to be disinfected...upon arriving..door. knob at entrance also has to be disinfected...as we leave..

I requested a mass...but, not sure if we will really go..not sure if they are doing confessions.

Our bishop announced that it would most likely not be open for Mass until the end of June here in Ontario, Canada. We still are battling cases of the virus Our parish priests since Easter have posted the Mass live on Facebook. It is not professional and there is a lot of freezing and hiccups but it is our priests and we are happy to see them even if it is just by video.

I really miss Mass so very much but more than that I just miss sitting in adoration in our little church. Just being there.

Last night was the first time back at Mass. I felt so at home! I cantored and it was strange as I was the only one singing mostly as the missals and hymnals are removed. But it was so nice to be back at home at Mass. Our pastor did the baptisms, 1st Communion, and Confirmations that were to have taken place on Holy Saturday. It was an abbreviated service, but it was nice all the same. I was happy to have been able to take part in it. It is very strange to only be able to use 1/4 of our church.

emoticon We are missing communion, but still live-stream mass from our parish. We are seniors and feel it it too early to resume public mass. I want to see how things are after they open for those that are willing to attend. My daughter and I were Eucharistic ministers and Sacristans before the shutdown. Since we all live together no one has returned to serving at the parish yet.

I loved the on EWTN from the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception for the Solemn Mass of Pentecost. The Message Pope Francis' representative brought forth was about spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I feel this has been neglected and so was ecstatic to hear it.

Blessings, Diana

WEnt to mass at church for the first time in months. WEnt well, every other pew roped off. Must wear masks but were available there if you didn't have one.One entrance into church with basket for envelopes to hand in before you even sat down. Chitchat discouraged and priest did not stand in lobby before or after mass. Communion a bit confusing as they changed distribution pattern, but most followed the new setup.

I resume cantoring at our 4:30 Mass on Saturday. Last weekend we stayed home. Call me chicken. Most of our elderly folks stayed home. Will be different, I am not sure I can sing for an hour with a face mask on. My glasses fog us so much that it could be a problem. Will let you know. I so want to receive the Eucharist!

One of the things I am talking with our pastor about is taking Communion to those who don't feel comfortable going to church. I know how much I miss receiving the Eucharist and I know some of our older parishioners must miss it as well. I can also understand if they don't want anyone coming in, but I have a few that we have been taking dinner to.

Our church has been closed for 10 weeks now. Mom died 7 weeks ago, I so need the comfort of Mass and the Eucharist, but I can't have it. I have been watching Mass from St Patrick's in New York because it's easy. I still haven't told the priests that Mom died, there isn't much they can do for me but send a nice email.

We won't be able to go back for awhile, my husband is 82 and not doing well. He has had 3 strokes and has multiple other underlying conditions. I have to stay secluded for his sake.

I am hoping I can at least have a meeting with Father Don so I can take communion safely. It's a tough time. We have to take care of our priests. The Church can't afford to lose old priests.

we have not returned to having masses yet. I have mixed feelings as I really miss going to mass, but we have been watching it on TV. When we do go back, I am not sure I will take communion, till I see how they will be handling it.

I had suggested that we not have music, which goes against everything I believe, but we have removed the hymnals, so we will have a cantor and the few folks in the choir that will be singing in the congregation. No organized choir yet at this time. But I can't wait to receive the Eucharist and to go to confession tomorrow., which we only do using the screen instead of face-to-face. Never in my life could I ever imagine this.

We are starting Mass here in Raleigh this weekend with many restrictions. the Bishop has yet to give out details. But truth be told I am so done with this mess. I am almost to the point where I just want to say, let me get it naturally. I will either recover or I will die. God's decision! I have heard so many dire predictions and contradictory statements that I don't know what to believe anymore. One thing for certain, I won't be taking any vaccines for it. I'd like to know of one vaccine that has been successful against any virus known to man. Bacterial infections, of course respond, but a virus? One that is constantly changing? Not going to happen. And throwing anti-population Bill Gates into the mix? That seals the deal for me! I know I will probably take flack for my opinion, but when places like YouTube start banning any opinion that differ from their "shut down the economy" stance you really have to question what is being done to us as a country. Stepping off my soapbox now!!

I am nervous too, as my husband and I are Eucharistic ministers. (my daughter cantors too at her church). Are you allowed to sing, and is the congregation allowed to sing (I guess we exhale more when we sing). Let's just pray together, and ask Holy Spirit for guidance, that we follow the right path for each one of us individually, and hope for the best. I also have an 87 YO mother who I know want to attend mass, but I did tell her that the dispensation in our diocese would most definitely apply to her.

Our Masses are starting tomorrow. I am not too sure how I feel. I usually cantor the Saturday evening Mass. We have to wear masks and only 25% occupancy is allowed. Our pastor has told us that if you are over 65 you should stay home and watch. We will be streaming the Saturday night mass for the next month at least. We had 3 Masses on the weekend now we will have two indoor on Saturday night and outdoor on Sunday Morning. So until tomorrow I am not sure what I am going to do.

I miss mass as well, and our church here in Rochester Michigan is going to start mass is the weekend of the 30th with limited seating… 25%. Hubby and I do not feel comfortable in returning, not yet we are both approaching 70 years old, and with this virus being so contagious we just don’t feel it’s appropriate to return to mass yet. I do miss it but not enough to contract the virus. People could be there that do have the virus without any symptoms.

How are all of you dealing with missing mass? We have been watching them online. Here in Ohio we are starting masses up again next weekend for Pentecost, with many restrictions and rules to follow. Will you all be attending mass in person soon? Do you feel comfortable with being with a large crowd in church?
