Hi everyone,

I am new to the team, and do not have any work out tapes yet,but sure would Love to hear from folks who know what is best to release anxiety, I am not taking meds was for 5 days said no more...I am a Cancer Survivor and would love to walk inside outside is great,but afternoons here in Texas are HOT.....

Hi, everyone I'm new to this team. I have 4 children, that I love very much I have also been married for 16 yrs. I am an emotional eater if I feel something it must be because I am hungry, I am learning to feel that void with something else. Doesn't always work ha ha but I do try.
I was on spark people last year did very well I lost 50 lbs. Then life happened and I couldn't stick to it. Then I had a light bulb moment that I remembered how happy I was when I was working out loosing weight and eating right. Before I started getting back on spark people I was very depressed, now I am very happy again. I remember that I do love myself and I should be the one who comes first. I have 52 lbs to reach my short term goal. I don't wana even talk about my long term goal till I reach my short term goal soonly. emoticon

I just joined sp this week! I have been doing Leslie's Dvds off and on for a while and had some success in the past. I have been "off" for about 4 months and it is quite an adjustment to start excercising again, but for me the hardest part is food. SP is a really great tool and I am hoping to take full advantage of it! This team is fantastic though-I have already had several welcomes on my sparkpage-so thanks everyone for making me feel so welcome! I am a stay at home mom to a preshooler and toddler. We recently moved closer to family after living in our home for almost 7 years. It has been great, but a big change! I love to find great bargains, and I love to read and watch HGTV!

Scappergirl, let's be friends! I would love to encourage you and vice versa along the way....I had lots of undiagnosed probs causing me trouble all along...just got things under control this year! whew! it's about time! I like your idea to get this in place because you are right, it has to be the way to lose weight and get healthy but the other stuff needs to happen too. I tried and tried to get active and lose weight w/ no success for a couple yrs but later found out my thyroid was low, as was my vitamin D and estrogen.Boy do I have MORE energy now that they are fixed! Hi everyone! My name is Karen and I just joined the SP website and this group. I am from Central Indiana and I have used Leslies CD's a ton in the past. I have only done the first cd although I have quite a few of her series up to the jogging cd in the hopes that I may one day make it that far. LOL I am just starting back on the diet/excersise lifestyle after being off of it for about 2 years. I am extremely out of shape and gained quite a bit of weight during that time frame. :( My legs feel like lead weights and I know I should start slow and do the 15 minute walk but knowing me I will try for the full 30 minute and not make it thru it. I am currently undergoing a lot of medical testing to see if I have an underlying problem to explain the tiredness/weight gain over the past 2 years but figured I can get a head start and then if I do have a problem, getting treated for it will just be a bonus. I look forward to interacting with you all!

Has anyone ever used different music with these cd's? I tend to get tired of the same old music.

Hello. I'm new, my name is Jessica and I am new to Washington, Eastern. I have been using Leslie's tapes since we moved here last year, because they are convenient, esp when the weather's inclement, and also because I get a better workout than if I walk on the sidewalk. I wouldn't walk that fast or sweat that much! Plus, I can mix up the movements and add my own when I do the tapes. It's not the only thing I do for exercise tho... I am trying to find the team challenges, and I don't see where they are. I am 46 y.o, recent empty nesters, just hub and me, in a new town. Big move for me. I am an RN with no current job right now. Small town = fewer jobs to choose from. Until this last week I could say I'd lost a solid 12 lbs but for reasons of extreme stress, I have gained three solid back ! boo hoo! I DID join the team goals of 8 hrs sleep, which is something I feel will help me with my weight loss. Other things about myself: I like to read and always have a book going, do puzzle books, laughing is number one!, interact meaningfully with my adult children (2) who are so important to me, enjoy following world events but get lazy with it, trying to take up gardening but lost my great garden when we moved last summer. Currently renting til our house sells and we get to know our town enough to buy. I have been a runner/jogger since age14,but have several arthritis and chronic pain problems which make it not always a good idea. Love to exercise. feel free to contact me. I enjoy both giving and receiving encouragement,and love SP!

Hi all. I`m new to Sparks and just feeling my way around. I came upon this site and felt an instant attraction as I have been walking on and off with Leslie for years. I have been quite ill over the past 2 years and in March had my final surgery. The doctor has now give me permission to exercise in moderation and I felt Leslie could provide this. I am 60 yrs young and will take some time and commitment to reach my optimum health. I look forward to interacting with team members. emoticon

Hi I am new to this team but not new to spark people, I was on spark people last year. I did really well last year then, life happened and I stopped logging in and stopped eating right and I of course gained some of the weight back that I had lost. Last year I started Leslie Sansone walk away the pounds 4 mile walk, I really liked the work out that it gave me. So for christmas I decided it was time for me to take my life back again, I bought her dvd walk away the pounds ultimate collection which gives me 4 different kinds of exercising with the stretchie resistance band. I have decide that I am going to do 30 min everyday. I will also do work out on my days off but I will do the 60 min work out. I am excited about this.

I am a proud mom of 4 children the 3 girls are 17, 16, & 12, and my son is 9. emoticon

Hi!

New to this team, but not to Spark...

I'm Amy, a 36yr old SAHM with a very energetic 3 yr old son.
At my highest pregnancy weight, i was 250lbs (that's when i stopped weighing myself!) and i'm only 5'4". Yo-yo dieter my entire adult life, now committed to a complete healthy lifestyle change.

2 years ago I reached my 1st goal of 130-135 lbs and maintained in that range for almost 2 years. This past fall/winter I gained some back. Have lost a few pounds but the scale has stalled and I need to amp up the cardio & strength training to get the scale moving in the right direction again.

I'm vegetarian so I'm usually good on my calories (spark has me set at 1200-1550 calories a day). Most days I'm good w/that- rarely go over; once in awhile under.

Just bought workout dvds this week to hopefully start making a difference. Got Windsor cardio pilates, a kettlebell workout w/ a 10lb kettlebell, & Leslie Sansone's walk weightloss bootcamp & resistance bands. Hoping this will start to speed things up!

Need to get that scale moving again!!

Seems the closer I get to goal, the harder & slower the weight comes off.

Looking for new online friends!

Love the accountability, support, & motivation SPARK provides!

Hi team, I am not new, I just haven't been motivated to get off my butt and move.
Well needless to say, my 2nd day out with Debbie, I got her 10 mile DVD. But I am starting out "baby steps" and doing 1 mile a day, I am going to do this until I am ready for 2 miles. I am so excited to make it through the second day (this is where I normally give up) But I am doing it at a pace suited for a very very sedentary person, and it's working!!!! MJ

I live in an area where it rain A LOT so having an indoor walking plan is a must. I have been using her DVDs for about a year now and have given away several to friends and family to help them get started as they are great for beginners or seasoned walkers alike. Hi everyone! I just joined this team and did the 3 mile slim/sleek walk twice this weekend and it kicked my butt, but in a great way! Can't believe I walked six miles this weekend!! I was doing the Jillian Michael 30 Day Shred, but my knees were starting to hurt too much and Leslie's walk seems to be a great answer! Can't wait to keep doing this and hopefully see some weight loss!

Hi all! I was browsing thru other people's spark pages and happened to see someone was a member of this team. It sounds ideal for me cos I have just rekindled my love of Leslie and her walk aerobics - she makes it fun and I don't notice the time passing. I just recently bought the dvd package containing the 1, 2 and 4 mile walks, started off on the 1 mile, and have done the 2 mile one a few times but those grapevines just have me beat! At least she caters for those of us unco-ordinated walkers, haha.

I'm a 56 year old divorced mum of 3 adult girls, gran to 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. I live in Stawell, which is a country town in western Victoria, Australia. Population is around 10,000. I no longer work cos I'm waiting on knee replacements, but have done everything from working for a finance company, disability services work, day care, sewing seat covers for new cars and packing meat!I have 2 dogs and a cat who are like my substitute family since my girls and their families live a fair way from me.

There, think I have just about everything covered now, anything else just let me know and I'll be happy to tell you.

Hi All! I am new to this team, but have been a fan of Leslie's for so long. I kind of put her on "the shelf" for the past 2 years and trust me it shows. Here I am again, but this time with the help of SparkPeople, something has clicked and I am ready to stop the yo-yo. I try to get to the gym regularly but sometimes when I can't I can plug in a Walking DVD and change it up a bit. I did this last night and had forgotten how much Leslie makes me sweat. I love it! Her workouts give the right punch to help you get past plateaus, and just general boredom with traditional workouts. I love her energy and I am glad SP has a team that loves her energy too. Hi. I'm Judy. I live in PA. I was using the Leslie Sansone video on YouTube and walking outdoors (which not only do I have to do,having no car, but absolutely love). I have since bought the 3 mile DVD with Pilates but have found it to be a little too fast paced for me at this point. I also managed to trip when trying to do some of the steps in the second mile. Guess I should just walk in place during that part. LOL. Mom of 2 grandma of one. Wife of 24 years. That's about all there is to know about me.

I'm Jo from Nebraska. I've been walking with Leslie for several years. She and Spark helped me lose 40 pounds before I turned 40 in December. My favorite is 4 Really Big Miles, although I love all Leslie's walks. I still have weight to lose and am at a plateau, but I have been maintaining, so I'm happy about that.

I burned most of her Walk programs off the internet because its kinda hard to buy the dvd here in my country and..buying online is a bit expensive to ship to asia. Really love to have her new workouts.

Hello fellow sparkers, I am Lynne. I have several of Leslie's DVD's and I love them. I never lost my baby weight after my third child and then just kept gaining more and more. Now that my "baby" is 26 years old, I am determined I am going to lose this weight that I have carried most of my adult life and get healthy. I work full-time, and I enjoy scrapping, walking, reading and genealogy.

Hello fellow Leslie/Walking fans! I was so excited to find this team. Leslie's programs are my favorite way to exercise. So much fun and so easy to follow, and Leslie's positive attitude is just so contagious. I own several of the DVDs and have the 2 mile audio on my iPod. I'm Kelly, 33 yr old, teacher, mom to one crazy 5 yr old boy, and wife to a full time vet student. Needless to say squeezing in time for exercise is not always easy, but I always know I'll enjoy a Walk workout. It's nice to have the variety of options too from the 1 mile to the 5 miles. emoticon

Hello! I'm Lyn. I have never heard of Leslie Sansone until I found Sparkpeople. I thought she would be a workout on a treadmill. Imagine my suprise!!! I LOVE her dvd's. I do them almost ever day! I'm married (going on 22 years in Oct.) I have 2 son's 18 and 20. I have been overweight since the birth of my first son. I would love to be under 200 pounds. I have not seen that in 20 years. I'm 12 pounds away from it!!! WooHoo!!! Oh, I love to camp, read and watch britsoms!!!

Hi, my name is Vicki. This was the first group that inspired me to finally introduce myself. I was so excited to see a Leslie Sansone Walking team. I tried Leslie's walking DVD's about 6 years ago and loved them, but just kind of quit. I joined sparkpeople in January 2010 and the first thing I did was dig out my Walking DVD's. I love the routine and exercises I can do easily. I did the aerobics bit in college and hated every minute of it. I have been doing the 3 mile Powerwalk. I have a few of Leslie's other DVD's that I want to try. My powerwalk is so worn out I may have to replace it. Ha!

Hello everyone! My name is Tina. I have been using the Leslie Sansone tapes/dvds for a few years. I started working out in March 2008 and lost aprox. 40 pounds, but I had some issues with my feet and was not able to continue. Unfortunately I gained 15 pounds back, but I am back now and trying to lose that plus a few more.

3 things to always remember:..
1. Calories are the only thing that matter when it comes to your weight.
(If you eat too many you gain and if you eat less and burn more, with
activity-You eliminate excess weight-hopefully forever!!!)
2. Exercise is not optional - EVER!!! To lose weight and to keep off any
lost weight...60-90 minutes of moderate to vigorous activity on most days
is REQUIRED!
3. Do not ever use the word DIET!!! Welcome to your new healthy lifestyle.

Hi all! I have the Walk Slim Fast & Firm 4 Really Big Miles DVD. It is by far the best exercise DVD that I have, and I have many! Any tips on how to use it effectively would be appreciated!

Hi, my name is Laurie.
I used Leslie's WATP about 7 years ago, and after a few months I was amazed at the results. I kept off the weight and stayed in good shape for about 1 1/2 years, but then slowly drifted away and have been yo-yo losing and finding the same 25 pounds ever since. I ordered the Walk Slim series a few years ago, and am embarrassed to admit that they have been in the TV cabinet for most of that time.
I was really happy to find this Spark Team. I am going to start off with the 1 or 2 mile walk each morning to kick-start my day. I know some people like variety, but I kind of like to memorize the video, and then I can turn off the sound on the TV and do all of the moves while I am listening to the morning talk-radio show and catching the daily news and weather! I'm not a morning person, and I like to multi-task so I can wake up at the last possible minute. I also used to skip breakfast all of the time, but now I just eat when I'm putting on my make-up...problem solved!

Hi gals, My name is Lori, and I walk to Leslie's videos at least 5 days out of 7, and I love 'em! I couldn't believe it when I saw she had a team on here! This is a great team for me. :)

Hi everyone!
Trying hard to get into a healthy lifestyle and make it work/last. Read about Leslie Sansone online and decided to buy one of her dvds today. I just did the 1 mile walk. I did not think I would be that sweaty after! I am going to work my way up slowly to the other miles too. I feel so good though! Happy to have something I can do at home, hopefully that will keep me going, and motivated and lose some weight and get healthier!

Hey yall! I am a stay at home mommy to an awesome almost four year old little boy. I am also a diabetic. I am working on losing the weight that has come on over the past few years and get back to what i was when i was married. I have ALWAYS struggled with my weight and have not been happy with it except for that time period. I found leslie thru spark and have fallen in love with these tapes! I am loving working out now! Glad to be here and hope you all have a wonderful day!

Hi, I'm Gloria. I'm new to this team but not new to SP. I joined May 2006 and stayed active for a year and a half. During that time I started using Leslie's in home walking dvds. Actually I found out about them through the SP message boards. Then I had a fractured ankle and other problems which derailed me. After that it took me quite a while to get back on track with SP. But as of 11/27/09, I restarted with SP and and a month later is was back to walking with Leslie. I just love doing those routines. My current routine alternates between doing the Walk Slim 4 Fast Miles and WATP Express 4 Mile Super Challenge 2X a week. On the other 3 days, I do Walk Your Belly Flat 3 Mile Walk with Belly Sculpt and Stretch and the Walk Slim Fast Firming. So far I have lost 17.5 lbs. emoticon
