I was apart of this group a couple years ago when I was on my journey. I was doing really well and then I fell off the wagon, which then rolled down a hill a caught on fire. I have yo yo'd since then and I decided why not today. I was nervous to come back to spark as I was doing well and I let myself down. I wanted to start a new profile and start fresh. But then I got thinking, my journey a few years ago is a part of who I am so I am not going to ignore it. yes it hurts to look at how far I got but it also helps me know that I can do it again. So today is Day 1 Series 3. It's good to be back.

Hello. I joined spark with the goal of losing weight and hopefully improving my health. My medical conditions include Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, Type 2 Diabetes, Depression, Migraines, Fatigue, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, and Raynaud's Disease. I haven't known a pain free day in over 12 years, but I will not let that stop me. I look forward to making friends and being an active member of the team.

Hi, My name is Ann and I was on here a long time ago, and decided to come back and try again to improve my health and lose weight. I have put on a lot more weight since, I have been gone, and need desperately to stop the emotional eating and get back on track.

Hi everyone!! I found SparkPeople (and this team) today while I was looking for a way to "up the ante" for 2017. I lost 22 pounds in 2016 making small changes, and as of right now, I am at 258 pounds with 108 more to go until my goal. I am looking forward to getting to know all you.

Hi! I'm Lori and I'm 37. I have 2 kids, a girl aged 7 and boy aged 6. I'm a stay at home mom, but super busy with the kids. I used to be active on Sparkpeople back in 2013 and lost 35 pounds, but then got made fun of by some kids in public and I just gave up. Now, I'm ready to come back and take my life back. I started at 240 and am trying to lose 100 pounds. I'm looking forward to being a part of this group.

Hi girls.
I've been posting around here for about a week now.
Newly back, but was participating not that long ago too.
However, newly back on my journey and really want to be a participating member.
As you all inspire me.

I'm sylvie. Born Canadian but moved to Virginia to marry my honey 3 years ago.
We have two furbabies (cat & a dog) and I have 2 grown, on their own, children.
Going to be a Meema soon (March) , first time grandparent and can't wait.

Bulimic/Binge eater most of my life, so I am working on recovery as well as wanting/NEEDING to lose weight. If i lose 150 lbs that will bring me to 160 lbs.
I'm really unsure what my goal is, other than to feel good in my skin and feel healthier, more energetic and proud of my accomplishments. Figure I'll take it one day at a time, and what happens happens with the work I put in, but...happy to be here doing it with all of you!

Thanks for having me!

- sylvie , xo

Love making like-minded, positive friends for support and friendships - We've got this!

Hi All, I am here, like everyone else, trying to take hold of my life make changes loose weight and improve on some of my health issues, from high BP, Cholesterol and Depression and a few others, so If I can take hold and keep up with the goals that I put up for myself, I will be a happy camper. I have to take it very slowly, One day at a time, for me. I have tried for so many years, and have gone up and down on that scale, that I am just sick of it already. I am back after 8 yrs, when I was on here before. Pray for me, and I will pray for all too, for all those who struggle with these issues everyday. God bless!!

Hi everyone, I searched through the teams and it seems as if this one is the most active which I like. I have been on sparkpeople off and on for a ling time. Tried MFP for awhile, but I just wasn't getting much out of them, so I decided to come back and try again. My name is Dawn, I 've been married 16 years in Oct. I have an angel girl, 2 healthy girls, 13 & 9. I am a born and bred city girl that is now living in the country and I wouldn't change it. I have over 100 lbs. to lose and I am finally in a spot where I am mentally ready. I am an 8 month brest cancer survivor and that was my wake up call. Then as I was getting on the party wagon, I fractured my tibia and ankle in June, so it will probably be another month or 2 before I can go back to the gym. Can't wait until that day comes.

Gypsy, check Youtube for chair workouts or just start moving your arms with no weights. Something is better than nothing. I have not been the greatest at exercise either but after surviving breast cancer, I have a whole new attitude. Now I am waiting to get back in the gym after my leg completely heals and I have finished physical therapy.

Hang in there, you can do this.

Hi, my name is Kini. I've been on this journey for a while and in the last few years I've slowly learned to accept my body as it is and grateful that I have my health (don't take meds), and can still exercise and do things on my own. My current long term goal is to lose 40 lbs and my immediate goal is to be consistently mindful of what I'm eating.

May we all have a healthy Fall season with a plan that's flexible enough to get us through the holidays feeling good about our victories, learning from our defeats and enjoying the beauty of change.

Oh Gypsy--I think ALL of us have been there!!! But I also think tiring your body out & getting sweaty & out of breath is part of the process. Be patient with yourself. Keep loving yourself. And try different exercises until you find something you hate LESS!!! emoticon

We applaud your every success!!!

Hello Team members, I just joined this team, after searching for one, that I think could help me. I have a lot of weight to loose, and I need all the help, I can get. I am doing this not only to be thinner, but for my health as well, I am dealing with many issues here. My worse and hardest thing for me is exercise, as I am so heavy and have limited mobility, so it is very hard to do any kind at this time, I have been doing some, but I hate, just hate, exercising. When, I am done, I feel exhausted. I am out of breath and don't know how people who are in the same boat as me can do it. I give all those who are heavy, a lot of credit and proud of them. I hope in the future days to come, to become a little more active, only time will tell. This time, I really am going to try hard to keep pushing myself to do so. Tired, of being the Fat Lady.
Continued Good Luck to all others on this team. emoticon

Hi, my name is Tonya. I've been on and off of Spark a few times, but this time I'm here to stay. I want to lose at least 100 pounds, and after I reach that goal, I'll determine if I want to lose more. I'm afraid of weigh-loss surgeries, and the meal replacement shakes didn't agree with my digestive system emoticon so in between being a mother, going to school, and working full-time, I'm trying to find the time to lose weight.

Hi Im Kelly and just joined this group eventhough I've been on SP for some time. It looks like a fun group!

I live in Edmonton, Canada with my husband and our dog Logan. I'll be 34 next month and re-committed again this week to finally get off my weight. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired so here I am.

I love to watch hockey, read, cross stitch, knit and my husband and I run a little cake business on the side. Its fun to be crafty together.

I hope to meet lots of new SP friends and motivate each other.

Hi there, I'm Gail and I've been on SP for quite some time. I was really active in the 30's+ page but now I'm over 40 and moving on. Three years ago, I had gotten in a car accident and broke every bone in my right foot leaving me laid up for over 8 months. Well, the foot is healed and my life is slowly getting back to normal; so I decided it was time to get back on SP! I've got a LOT of weight to loose, so I hope to be joining some challenges to keep me motivated!

Hi, my name is Sandy...this is not my first rodeo at weight loss or even my first time on Sparkpeople. It's my new time though....never give up! So, I have about 150 lbs to lose. It is too huge of a number to focus on at one time. I didn't gain this all in a day, a week or a year, it is going to take more that a day, a week or even a year to lose it all. I am here, that is the first step. I look forward to making new friends.

~Sandy

Hello,
I'm new to this team, though not new to Spark. I've been a member here at Spark for about forever. Years ago I was a part of a great team and we really worked together to encourage and challenge each other. For some reason, the leader suddenly stopped leading and stopped responding to messages, so that team fell apart. Since, then I've joined this team and that team and never found a team where I belong. I'm hoping that this is the one for me. I'm a SAHM to 8 kids. With each pregnancy I've gained weight and only lost a little, thus I have loads to loose now. Now that I'm getting older, I'm finding that my knees are complaining about the weight. I'd love to get the weight off before my knees fully give out and need extra help. Thanks for letting me join this team. I look forward to giving and getting support and encouragement here.

Starting day 1 today. Have a total of about 125 or so pounds to lose. Starting small with the first 25. I am focusing right now on changing my eating habits. I have developed some really bad ones and want to make a change for the healthy. In a week or two I plan to start incorporating exercise. I want to take these changes a day at a time so that I do not overwhelm myself and can be successful.

Hi everyone. I've been reading posts on this team and want to thank you guys for being so open and honest here. It's why I joined, well that and the obvious. I'm working on new habits, healthy ones this time! I have 115 pounds that I'm losing but my focus is on healthy lifestyle changes and I'm not using weight as my goal. It's too depressing and I feel overwhelmed at that. So I'm making permanent changes, one at a time and getting comfortable with them before making the next change.

I know it is hard to come back and start over when you've done Spark before and lost a bunch of weight, but we can do this! For me I didn't re-gain the weight because I didn't learn before how to eat better and exercise more but because I stopped doing those things and didn't make them part of my *normal* every day life when my house and environment changed. That's what I'm working on now is making new habits for a new place and situation that are healthy and then doing them enough that they become automatic and just a *normal* part of my lifestyle.

Everyone has their times when they slip up and make mistakes, get off track. The important thing is that you are back now and realizing where you got off track. I've definitely been there too much in my life. My name is Paige btw. No shame in asking for friends, you gotta start somewhere! Plus accountability is extremely important.

Hello!! I'm Jo from northern WI. I started about a week ago, was been on the site years ago. I lost around 75 back then, thought I knew it all. And, guess what? I didn't (shocker). Well, I'm back... Humbled and doing it all over again (thus the reason for my SN). I am here to do it all over again, and be looking decent for my son's wedding next October. Oh, dear..

I need help with accountability, and I've learned I can't do this alone. I've lost much of my self confidence, and I'm feeling embarrassed to be asking for friends.

I'm not sure what to say now? I'm a little humiliated.... Ugh..

Hi ladies. I'm new to the team, but I've been on and off Spark since 2012...but a lot has changed since 2012 and I'm getting back on track now after getting re-married last year, moving from FL to MN and changing just about everything else in my life. I lost 50 pounds doing Sparkpeople back in 2012...I kept it off awhile, but in the last year it's all back on from not tracking and going back to drinking soda and eating too much junk...I'm looking to make friends who also have 100+ pounds to lose who are active right now on Spark. I have 124 pounds to lose.

Hi all! I joined this group several months ago but am just introducing myself now.

I've been on Spark for about 8 years and have had periods of more and less engagement. I'm now at or near my all-time high weight and, well, am scared. I lost over 60 lbs about 7 years ago and kept much of it off for several years. I went back to school to start a new career -- which was great and helped me build more muscle -- but then found myself in a job that was ... I'll just say not good for me. The weight started piling back on and I haven't been able to stop it since. Now I'm over 10 lbs above where I'd started back then and can feel the toll it's taking on my body. Enough.

So, again, hi! I hope to get to know you all soon.

Renee

Monique,

I've lost the weight within the last year. I avoided doctors for years, but had some health problems in fall 2013 that I couldn't ignore (had to have transfusions because I was bleeding so much from precancerous growths in my uterus) and then had to have surgery for those problems. When I had the pre-surgery blood tests done in Feb 2014, they told me I had diabetes. I started taking meds for the diabetes and eating between 1200 and 1500 calories a day. By July, I had lost 100lbs. I started exercising then, and I've lost another 75lbs. One of the things that has helped me the most is a medication for diabetes that really decreases your appetite.

There are some side effects from losing weight so fast...my hair has gotten really thin, and I've had some issues with anxiety and really bad PMS, which I never had problems with before. My doctors think it's from hormone levels fluctuating.

Hi everyone! I'm new to the team but not new to Spark People, just looking for ways to stay motivated during my weight loss journey. I've lost 175lbs since Feb 2014 and I need to lose another 80 or 90. At first the weight just seemed to fall off, but it's slowed down now.

Hey everyone! My name is Kellye. I'm 29 and recently relocated from Indiana to Florida. So far, I'm loving that lack of snow! I really enjoy being able to go for a walk and work up a real sweat on January first and not freeze my face off lol I feel like 2015 is the year that I'm going to be able to stick with this weight loss and actually make it a lifestyle change instead of dieting again. I look forward to seeing everyone hitting their goals this year! : )
