Did you do your best to meet your goals?
Yes, I think I did better this week than last

What were your successes? How did you soar?
I lost weight and inches! Wearing what I thought were too small in the waist & hips/rear!

In what ways did you stumble?
I still haven't done the strength training other than 10 minutes curling.

Most of the time, did you practice Mindful Eating (ME) by waiting for hunger?
Most of the time yes.

Most of the time, did you STOP when satisfied? Yes! Big new discovery!

Whether you weigh or measure, were you Up or Down? Went down on both fronts!

How many minutes would you guesstimate that you exercised this week? 1,740 minutes

Is there one thing that you should focus on this week? Keep exercise up & meet with Fred for strength training


What are your goals for this new week? Get my first Zumba demo together!

How did my week go: Pretty good, I took a rest day, got in all planned exercises, I am pretty mindful of my eating habits, although I need to work on eating slower. I gained, but today showed a loss. I plan on being more organized with my eating menu and exercise program.

I am going to make myself a chart so I stick to my daily routine.

Those of you working on Lean Habit #1, eat 3 meals a day, you may include your comments and experiences to these questions. We'd love for you to post your experiences in more detail in chat.


What percentage of the time did you eat mindfully? No much .. was a bad week sugar monster reared its head



What were your successes? I managed to convince my aunt not to put her goodies out on the table when I was there last weekend



What were your struggles? was in an emotional downturn and was eating sugar which of course makes my pain level sky rocket which doesn't make me feel good



What percentage of the time did you STOP eating when satisfied? I usually don't overeat.. it is what I was eating so most of the time... can remember one meal where I was to full



Scale or measured inches UP or DOWN? scale was down 1.9 pounds this week on saturday



Guesstimate Exercise Minutes? 147 minutes.. missed a day ... usually do more than this... haven't been feeling good this last week



What are your Intentions for this coming week: win over the sugar monster and increase my exercise minutes and eat mindfully... pay attention to what i am eating

Did you do your best to meet your goals?
Goals....what goals....I am getting back on track and this is an accountability start even if it is Tuesday.

What were your successes? How did you soar?
What I feel best about this past week - two things....had a date afternoon with my DH, who really likes hiking....found a 7 mile rather rigorous group hike....we both enjoyed it and after years of mostly not hiking because of problems with pine....I'm willing to try again. second, took time to spend 6 hours total driving to spend 6 hours with my DS, helping him pack to move to another apartment....time well spent.

In what ways did you stumble?
Tracking....what's tracking (except for fitness and logging in)

Most of the time, did you practice Mindful Eating (ME) by waiting for hunger?
Mindful???? Hah....stress level was up and mindful was way down.

Most of the time, did you STOP when satisfied?
Best I can say is I measured everything (I think) that I ate even if I didn't stop while I was ahead.

Whether you weigh or measure, were you Up or Down?
Weight last wednesday was up a pound

How many minutes would you guesstimate that you exercised this week?
400 + minutes

Is there one thing that you should focus on this week?
Even more than tracking, I need to focus on being mindful of what I eat in particular since my stress survival has mostly involved eating.

What are your goals for this new week?
Use healthier alternatives than food to cope with emotional overloads (and I've already had a meltdown this morning although I didn't eat....I called my mom which actually had the meltdown spilling out all over the place....LOL)

Did you do your best to meet your goals?
Yes, I think so. Probably could have done even more, but I'm also working on moderation.

What were your successes? How did you soar?
I had both emoticon and NSVs. I added a third day of formal Zumba Class, and added about an hour of practice/exercise per day-- gotta be able to learn the dance moves!

In what ways did you stumble?
Sleep cycle is off. Had a couple cleaning plates instead of stopping just short of full.


Most of the time, did you practice Mindful Eating (ME) by waiting for hunger?
I kinda answered that above. Wasn't a total success on this front.

Most of the time, did you STOP when satisfied? Yes, 90%

Whether you weigh or measure, were you Up or Down? DOWN!!!!


How many minutes would you guesstimate that you exercised this week?
According to the tracker I did 1,973 minutes of exercise last week.

What are your goals for this new week?
I want to get the Zumba dance routines that I want in my first class down pat.

No - I certanly didn't and at times I didn't even try!

What were your successes? How did you soar?
Only when I managed a 15 minute walk in the field w/ my dog.

In what ways did you stumble?
When my kids brought in pizza & chips & then I made cake & cookies for the kids? Yes and of course I ate some too.

Most of the time, did you practice Mindful Eating (ME) by waiting for hunger?
Yes, but it seemed like I was always hungry.

Most of the time, did you STOP when satisfied? YES

Whether you weigh or measure, were you Up or Down?
Did not measure

How many minutes would you guesstimate that you exercised this week?
I did a lot of multiple house chores and they were swaet and move ones. That activated the hip.
Is there one thing that you should focus on this week?
Tracking food & REALLY trying much harder than I did last week.

What are your goals for this new week?
I have a tread mill so no reason I can't start w/ 10 min a day and work into it. Plus be MINDFUL and not just throw caution to the wind.

No, I could have done better.

What were your successes? How did you soar?
I learned that I need to trust more in what I know and have learned. And to not think of how far I have to go...but all that I have accomplished. I tend to forget that.

In what ways did you stumble?
Ugh. I didn't exercise like I should have. I missed a couple of days. I gave into emotional eating a couple of times.

Most of the time, did you practice Mindful Eating (ME) by waiting for hunger?
Yes, most of the time

Most of the time, did you STOP when satisfied?
Yes

Whether you weigh or measure, were you Up or Down?
I was down 4# from my previous weigh in. After totally changing my workout routine, I went from 285 to 291. I was back down to 287. I was very worried about it not coming back down, and I let those thoughts side track me.

How many minutes would you guesstimate that you exercised this week?
155 minutes

Is there one thing that you should focus on this week?
Better mindful eating

What are your goals for this new week?
Work harder for my 5 day exercise regiment. And to focus more on not eating for emotional reasons (including being bored or tired)

I soared, I stumbled as you can see since I posted my Musings on the Front Porch etc. I do however to continue to live by one of(if not THEE) favorite quotes in my life by the great Katharine Hepburn:

Yes

I literally 'stepped' up and got going on my exercising. I got my 8000 steps 6 of 7 days.
Also, I did very well with eliminating night time eating this week.

In what ways did you stumble?
I would have to say in eating too much......past my hunger.....a couple of times.

Most of the time, did you practice Mindful Eating (ME) by waiting for hunger?
I did....yea me.

Most of the time, did you STOP when satisfied?
Mostly, but could and will do better.

Whether you weigh or measure, were you Up or Down?
Down a bit.

How many minutes would you guesstimate that you exercised this week?

Listening to my body. Paying attention to when I need to cut back from walking and step away from the table when not hungry

~ Eat 3/4 meals only
~ Eat according to my hunger
~ Stop when satisfied.
