Thanks for the welcom everyone. I have never thought to mention Spark to my Doctor. I Go this Tuesday I guess I could mention it to her then. I did tell her how much I love WATP. She is a skinny little thing so I hate talking about my weight to her.

174 will put me at overweight, but not obese!!!

Hello and welcome from GA. Trust me this is a cold year. We have only lived in GA for 5 years but this is the coldest winter we have had so far.
You are doing great with your journey! Keep up the good work!

Great to have you on the team, Susan. Just curious...have you told your doctor about Spark? If so, what does he/she have to say about it? Or are you just impressing him/her with your ability to release 70 pounds to the universe all by yourself? Or maybe the doc told you about Sparkpeople. I'm just curious.

70 lbs is incredible! Whoo hoo! I love Leslie too, and have actually started enjoying other kinds of workouts more after having used her for awhile. I sometimes "rent" other Leslie videos from the library. It really adds to my collection. Welcome to a great team. We are glad to have you!

Hello all, My name is Susan and I live in SC,moved here from WV. So much for warm winters in the south, it's been in the low 20's at night, BBBBRRRRR.

I have lost about 70 pounds so far with WATP and Spark. I still would like to loose another 40-50 pounds. I was diagnosed with diabetes in June of 09 and that's when I really took my health and weight loss seriously. I have a husband and 2 girls thatI have to be strong for.

I started out really strong and the weight dropped off. But now it's has really slowed down but I have not been doing as good I was in the beginning either. So now it's time to get back on track and loose that final 40-50 pounds. I have to take 4 shots a day of insulin and I am hoping if, no when I hit goal I will not need to do the shots anymore. They are no fun at all. My little 2 yr old will play doctor with her stuffed animals and baby dolls and pretend to give them a shot in the belly. I hate seeing that.

But it is a new year, and things will get better this year I just know it. This is the longest I have ever been able to stick with a plan. This time it has to be a life long journey for my health.

I hate hate hate to exercise, but I actually like the WATP. I don't get lost and just stand there trying to figure out all of the moves, I can actually do all the moves and keep up with her. I am doing 2 miles a day and I hope to go up to 3 miles in Feb then 4 miles in March and dare I say, me walk 5 miles by April????. I have the 5 day slim down. I would like to master this one then try some of her harder ones. I have not seen any of my family in WV since I have lost the 70 pounds, I hope to loose at least 30 more by my next trip up over Spring break. I know my mom will cry when she sees me.

I also have a dd, 11 in the 5th grade. I have PCOS so that made it really hard to have our 2nd that's why they are almost 10 yrs apart. I work part time, customer service on the phones all day, well from 8-noon. My husband works from 3pm -10 pm Monday thru Thursday. So we have a long weekend together and see each other for a couple of hrs each day through the week. But these scheds keep the kids with one of us, so no day cares.

As you can see I am pretty much an open book, if you want to know anything else about me just ask. I plan on sticking around for a long time so I hope to get to know you guys. Spark is abig place and I am glad to have found a smaller group to be in. I am not very computer savvy but I will try to have my hubby or my daughter to post some picks on my page so you can see me.

174 will put me at overweight, but not obese!!!
