Welcome! Congrats on your progress so far! Im the same way, decided to get serious finally and been on my journey for 18 months. I've only seen the scale move down about 30 lbs in that time but I also do a lot of strength and lifting and I notice a huge difference in my clothes fit and shape. Ill look for your new group as well, I did notice many new members but none posting or responding for awhile.

You will never FIND time to do anything, you must MAKE it!

Welcome Shane, I am glad you started a new group. I don't think this one is "live" anymore. I know a lot of us stay kind of busy at work but there hasn't seemed to be much activity since I joined. I did join your group and will post once I get home tonight. Hope you have an awesome day!

Hi everyone. I have been a member of sparkpeople since 2009. Never really took getting fit serious until January of this year. I turned 40 this year and decided that it was time that I did something about the way I felt and looked. I have been going to the gym 5 days a week since January and have lost 18 lbs. Should be more than that, but I am also strength training. So, I guess all things considered.........It is amazing to me how different I feel after just 3 months. I look forward to going on this journey with you all.

I have also created a new team for Kroger employees. It is "Kroger Shapers" I would love for you all to come check it out. I would like to have a great team that we can share and grow together on this journey to fitness.
