Hello! I would love to have a partner. Today I just totally blew the top off my calorie counter. I think I went over 2000. And in spite that, I am very happy today. ;)

Anyway, I am 36, a single mom of a 14 year old daughter. I want to lose about 10-20 lbs but mostly want to look and feel great in a pair of shorts or maybe even hit the water park with my daughter this summer and not be afraid to slide into a swimsuit.

I am working on several different health issues through my diet, exercise and a few buckets of patience. So far I have quit all processed and refined sugars and even honey, quit smoking in March, quit eating gluten and have cut back on lactose products. I eat a lot of veggies, fruits, grains, seeds, nuts and very little meat. Now that my health concerns are a little more under control, I'm working on weight loss and increasing my exercising.

Hello everybody! I am 25, a graduate student and am looking to lose about 20 pounds. There are a lot of factors driving this, but most importantly is that I just lost somebody very important to me and realized that I really should start taking better care of myself. To get to my main goal, I really need somebody to keep me accountable for my food choices (unfortunately my fiance runs a pizza shop! emoticon ) and actually sticking to my exercise routine!

Hello. I'd like someone who has kik, text+ or skype (so we can stay in contact) and has 100-150 pounds to lose. I have 120, and I'd like someone who's close to me. Vegetarians are a plus, but not necessary. I'm gonna be doing the zombies run app thing, so anyone else, doing that?

I just need someone who can message me and be like, "hey, have you worked out today?" or "hey, what did you eat today?" and can tell me when they think I need to be better.

I have just joined this team and am looking for a partner. I am 55 years old with well over 100 pounds to lose. I have been back at SP since February. I did better when I came back in February than I am doing now. I have some days when I am very well on track and others that are not as good. Night time eating is a big issue for me, even when I have been on track all day. I tend to avoid exercising (bad knee and rheumatoid arthritis which has a strong fatigue component) but am determined to get more active especially as the weight goes down. I hope there is someone out there who is willing to partner with me. I promise to do my best to support my partner as well. Thanks.

Hello to all! I'm Lori. A 50 yr old mother and stepmother to nine wonderful (sometimes) children. I have 50 lbs to lose. I have struggled with this for many years, as most of us here have. I don't feel fifty. In my poor feeble mind I'm about 30. Of course, my mirror may not agree, but, that's it's problem.

I admit, I have some problems with motivation. That's why I joined this site. I really feel that I can do it this time, however I may need a little kick in the tail from time to time. Hey! Hi, I am new to this group. I sent one of your a private message but anyone who wants to reply to me can. You may visit my Spark Page, Pamatga13, if you want to find out more about me. I still have a long way to go in terms of both losing weight and then keeping it off. I do believe that I can as long as I am willing to be open to learning and be patient.

My heaviest weight was 301.8 lbs in June 2010. My current weight is 237 lbs. I have lost 29.6 lbs of that since January 1st of this year. I am involved in another team effort on this site as well. I am going to be celebrating my 60th birthday this coming July and I know that I will weigh less than I have in over 20 years!!! That is definitely one great birthday present to myself.

I'm a mom to 4 young kids and I teach music classes.
On June 5 I'm going to the national meeting with all my music teacher pals...and I want to wear my favorite blue dress....so it's gonna take some work. I need intense motivation for one month!

Hi there,
I would love to have a partner for mutual motivation and accountability and to share this life-changing journey with. I am 39 years old, married for 18 years and mom to 5 beautiful children. I live in Scotland and am a vegan. Hi Everyone,

A little about me: I am a 33 year old mother of 3 boys (ages 4,9&14). I currently have a goal to lose 50 lbs by next March. So far I am on the right track losing a lb or two every week. I am 58 years old and live in a small Montana town. I never expected to need to lose weight as I could eat anything I wanted and stay slim up to my early 30's. Then all those years of bad eating habits hit me and I now have 50 lbs to lose. I am focused on making this a life change to healthier habits rather than a diet. Our business requires numerous short trips with lots of restaurant eating, which sometimes sets me back a bit but I am learning how to make it all work. Here is a little bit about me:
~47 yrs old
~mom of 4 kids
~have 50 pounds to lse
~have been trying since right after my 5 year old was born....continue to struggle
emoticon I have lost and regained many times...trying to make it stick!
~have a family reunion in July so need a lazer focus to make progress

Partner I need:

One thing one of my partners did was create a separate Facebook account detailing her weight loss journey so we are friends on Facebook also....that's not for everyone, I know, but your friendship doesn't have to be confined to this team or even to Spark People.

#1 To Find a partner:
a. Hit reply and describe the partner you are looking for. Check back EVERY DAY TO SEE IF SOMEONE HAS REPLIED TO YOUR REQUEST , or to find someone looking for a partner. ALSO, LOOK BACK AT THE THREAD BEFORE THIS ONE TO CHECK FOR PARTNERS.
When you find a partner,PLEASE add that person to the thread, "Who is your
accountability partner now?" This really MAKES THE leaders job easier.
b. Also you can search through the membership at the bottom of our team page to see
who may be suitable. Then click and invite them to be partners if they are available. IF
that person agrees add them to the thread, "Who is your accountability partner, now?"
You might want to come back to this thread as well and hit edit next to your request for a partner and tell all who come here that you have one.
c. You can always feel free to share your concerns with me by sparks mail, or ask me
questions, anytime. I have a list of leaders who help you find partners when you need it.
Please ask me.

#2 What to do once you find a partner:
A. Share your personal goals: for example lose "x" amount of weight
drink 8 cups of water a day
track all the food on MY TRACKER
become more active by_____ for "x" amount of minutes

B. Check in no less than once a week to share progress or up hill battles.(some enjoy
checking in several times a week)

C. Encourage one another when you are down and give a goodie for progress.

D. Share what works for you and what doesn't.

E. If your partner quits sharing for some reason, ask why. If you are not satisfied at any
time, let them know that you are seeking a new partner. (you can have more than one
partner. I have five an enjoyed them all equally.


5. Share recipes.

6. Create new threads that you and your buddies enjoy.
