A great motivator for me is clothes!! I love to shop, find real bargains and still look nice! I am not a fancy dressy type person, just pretty casual, tho I love stylish and cute things!! Today I found some new things,nice enough for church, priced right for my budget!!

I am down a size in tops...very motivating, as most of my bigness is above the waist....so to have dropped a size in blouses is inspiring!!

KICKIN' 5 pounds to the curb, at a time, has become a weigh of life for me! At WEEK-END WARRIORS team we are doing KICK 5 joint ventures, which are bringing about some real success!! Join in the FUN, it is exciting and keeps us pumped & prayed up!! It is easy to look at only 5 at a time....then do it again & again.... all the weigh to your ultimate GOAL!! YOU CAN!!

SP for me!! I do pray, of course too, but I also need SP to keep me going and (back) on track. I need the info and support of SP.

This past weekend, I found motivation in an acquaintance friend of mine who has lost maybe 100 lbs. and another one who has lost 30. Hey, if they can do it, so can I!!!!

I now have an even greater resolve and commitment to do this personally!! I WILL succeed!! I WILL beat this!! I WILL overcome!!! I'm gonna stay the course, persevere, and GET TO THE TOP OF THIS MOUNTAIN after all!!!!! WOO-HOO!! LET'S GO SPARK WARRIORS!!

Remember...friends should hold hands & stick together, then they won't lose their way & if one falls down, the other helps you up!

I have many ways to stay motivated, and/or re-motivate when I slip...the one I rely on most is prayer...if I feel tempted to have a meal I know will stop my pounds from falling off that week I begin to ask for GODS divine help...I also keep my eye on the prize...a healthier me!!

Of course I purposefully make myself accountable to all of you, and now I am making myself accountable to friends who see me routinely, my church group!! That is very important to me, that I am KICKIN' pounds right along with all the ones who on this team, and on my church small group!!

Will be posting more here later...I am off to church again....Good thread Nance! Thank you!!

Many (most/all?) of us have had at least periods of time when we have found it difficult to stay on our program, for various reasons. Perhaps you were ill, stressed, traveling, etc.

Please share with us your strategies for staying the course. How do you get 'back on the beam' after you have slipped off? How do you resist temptation, or limit your intake of less healthy foods? Thanks!
