Exercise is good for everything. A ten minute walk will help keep your circulation from getting sludgy and clear mental cobwebs,

Tammy, Have you had a sleep study done? Maybe there is more going on here than bad habits.

In the meantime, try setting a timer for ten minutes and just do a ten minute lay down with eyes closed. It won't interfere with your sleep schedule and it might help. Especially if you follow it with a ten minute walk.

Hello Cathy,
I actually went to bed last night early, I wasnít feeling well. I had aches and pains all over. I actually stayed up all night and all day Tuesday into Wednesday trying to get my sleeping schedule halfway decent. I went. To bed at about 830pm last night well, that is when I fell asleep I was really exhausted last night. I slept 9 hours and I woke up at 530am today. It is just right now I am sleepy, I donít know why though. I am trying to fight this sleepy ness I donít know if I can.

Keep us updated. You are making me think about cleaning up my act again. I read till 2pm last night. I did get 7 hours sleep, but I hate wasting the mornings. I think it also messes up my eating.

Hi GrammaCarhy,

Thank you for your advice. In my eyes a schedule going to bed at 1030 pm and wake up at about 7:00 am would be great. I think with my body I need at little more than 8 hours. I hope by the end of this challenge I will eventually succeed with this goal.

Hi Tammy,

I have used this challenge several times to straighten myself out. I think if you follow the steps you will eventually get into more regular hours. I quite happy go to sleep at midnight and get up at 8am. But, I prefer 11-7 for functioning well. On those times I start pushing back further and further to going to sleep at 4am and getting up at 11, I feel crummy. So I applaud your efforts to get good sleep habits. Persistence pays. Also, changes in small increments. Just keep pushing your bedtime a half hour earlier at a time and set that alarm to get up 8 hours later. I also can't take naps, or I mess my schedule up. So when I need a nap, I set the alarm for 10-20 minutes and that seems to revitalize me without ruining my sleep schedule at night.

Hi everyone, I am new to this challenge. I want to change my sleeping habits. I am sleeping all day and awake all night. This first started happening when I fractured my pinky toe on my left foot. It may not make sense, it doesnít make sense to me but it is the truth. I go to sleep at 8 am till at least 4 pm in the afternoon
. I donít know if the winter months are effecting my sleeping habits or not. But I need help. I need to get my sleeping schedule back to normal again. I would feel better, I think. How can I get started to getting a better sleep schedule back.

My name is Tammy and I hope this challenge will help me.
