Aw, thank you! This is why I love spark. Everyone is so friendly. At work I'll mention I want to lose weight, and I just can't seem to stick with it. Other girls will say things like "you don't need to" or "that's what you said before". And really, neither of those things are helpful. I am very busy with a small child, college, and working full-time. I'm struggling right now getting used to one class in a seven week period, but next week I'll be in two classes for seven weeks. Oh no! What am I doing to myself? But it is all worth it in the end emoticon

My husband liked Montana for a few months. But there was not a whole lot he could do up there. He was in a military town and the biggest attractions there were the dams and the movie theatre. He enjoyed the scenery for a while but he lived there so long it became normal. The mountains were beautiful. I've never seen anything like it before. He proposed to me along a national park as the sun was setting in the mountains. So Montana is special to both of us. However, he is overjoyed to be back home with our family.
I've been working out in the mornings. Well, I should say I just started to work out in the mornings. So far I'm doing good (then again it hasn't been a whole week yet). I cannot do it during lunch. During my lunch I try to complete some of my homework for school so then when I'm home at night, I can focus on my family. After my son goes to bed, I try to get another 30 minutes to an hour of homework done.
During the weekend is my best time to work out. Yesterday my husband and I took our son for a walk for two hours along the beautiful pier and the beach. And today we'll be walking some more again by going through a pumpkin patch. I'm also trying to work out a little at my desk. Leg lifts and toe taps while trying to stand for 10 minutes every hour. I know it isn't a lot but I need to start somewhere and it is difficult working at my desk standing since I have to bend. I'm going back to yoga and I'd like to do that 5 days a week for at least 20 minutes. I loved yoga a few years ago. I don't know what happened to me... Maybe stress and laziness set in but I'll get over this. Thanks for your suggestions!

Hi Mary and welcome back...and welcome back to your husband and thanks.....what did he think of the sight? Could you possibly do a little work out in the morning or maybe during lunch...small step are much easier ( in my opinion ) and far more doable. Just hang in there

Hi I'm Mary. I'm not new to Spark. However, I come and go a lot. I've been here since March and I can't seem to stick with it. My husband just finished his term with the air force and is now home. He had a few promising interviews this week. And I just told him for the first time about this website and that I wanted to just lose 15 lbs by the New Year. It is definitely do-able. I work full time at a bank and am required to sit down basically all day. By the time I come home I'm mentally exhausted. But, now is the time to end all of that and look to a brighter skinnier future! I am also a mother of a five year old boy. And I'm trying to finish my degree. I'm hoping that by joining a new forum it will motivate me to hear everyone's stories and want to make one of my own!
