If we only look at food for fuel it will be boring. Because we are of higher intellect we can and should experiment with good foods to find ways to make them more enjoyable.

Glad to have you here Blondie! I agree, if we can't enjoy what we are eating then why eat it. The hard part is to make it good for us as well. Changing little things helps so they don't change the taste.

Hi everyone! I have about 50 pounds to lose and need to consistently exercise. I love to cook, experiment with new recipes, and try new dessers. I enjoy cooking for friends and family, good wine and good music. I'm working on creating balance in my life in most areas. I believe that all real food is good in moderation.

Welcome to the team, BLPAGAIN!!! This team has lots of information. Sparkpeople's lifestyle change is a great way to go. You can still eat normal foods, you just adjust it a bit. I will most likely never eat the Krispy Kreme burger at the local baseball place, but that's ok. It sounds gross anyway.

You look at food differently once you get going for a while. It's more of what can that food do for me. I don't waste a bite of calories. If I don't like something at a picnic/BBQ/buffet, I spit it out or don't eat anymore. Why waste my calories for the day on something I don't like. I want to REALLY enjoy and nourish my body when ever possible.

Hi there, this team sounds like one I'm really going to enjoy. I love taking dishes and sort of "honing" them down calorie wise, while packing in nutrients and FLAVOR! I'm all about flavor which is why I'm in the mess I'm in. I've tried dieting so many times, but I get so frustrated from eating "fat free" "sugar free" garbage. So I've decided that this time, I want to stick with real food, healthy fats, loads of fruits and vegetables. I love creating in the kitchen and experimenting with new ways to make those "bad" foods better! So this team sounds like fun!
