Welcome Connie. I am happy that you joined us. Although, sorry about your health condition, I understand what you are saying. Our family is often the last one to really understand our problems. Hope to see you back soon.

Hello. My name is Connie and I am 38. On Dec 22, 2014 I was diagnosed with CHF. I am looking and hoping to make some friends that will be helpful and supportive. I don't have much of a support system. I am scared and feel alone in all this. I used to walk 2 - 5 miles a day but I started getting really tired afterward. Then I started having irregular heartbeat and chest pains a lot. I was fine when they did the ultrasound at the end of May 2014, but not fine when they did another ultrasound Dec 19, 2014. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother to ask my family for help I know I won't get any. Sorry guess I'm still prone to pity parties.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace to help us in time of need.

Welcome! I am very sorry about the virus that caused the damage to your heart. Such a rough thing to happen. I like the idea about the chair exercise. I have heard that it can be very effective. Of course, it also helps with joints.

Glad that you joined our team. Keep in touch with us.

Hi There! I have a defibrillator/pacemaker implant (virus attacked heart in 2012.) I am working with a trainer, well versed in cardiac rehab. He has me on a twice/weekly strength training program and on the rest of the days I am to do the following: swim, walk or take a Gentle Joints Yoga class (using a chair.) I've got about a month into it, although I have slacked off a bit the last couple of weeks on the cardio!

Anyway, good to be here and I wish you all the very best!!!
