Ter, actually they don't all have the surgery to remove the excess skin. They only get the surgery if they reach the goal for that third quarter. Of the 4 shows, I think only the first one and the last one had the surgery so far.

I really like the show. I like to see if they are going to actually make their goals or not. I also like, as others have stated, how it shows the real life struggles of getting back into your normal life, without him there. I get what you are saying about how the episodes are the kind of the same, but I have watched all of them and always get a new found excitement from them.

I really like the way Chris works with the people he chooses to help transform. I believe the show is realistic in their struggles to stay on track with their eating right and exercising and injuries that come up. Everybody has their own story on how they got overweight and they all have their own journey to go through to achieve their goal weight by the end of the year.

I like that Chris offers to give them all something, a special, positive incentive just for them (examples: trip to Greece, season baseball tickets to or a vocal coach) if they reach or exceed their 3-month weight loss goal. They all need something to work for and something to look forward to, to make all the hard work pay off. It's really neat to see them get all excited when they meet or exceed their goal to get that special something.

The necessary hard work to lose the weight and eat right paid off.
In the process of reaching for that "prize", not only were they rewarded for being good to themselves by taking better care of themselves by living a healthier lifestyle, they learned they feel better about themselves, they also realized they are able to do what they've been wanting to do a lot better (play baseball, sing). Springboarding from Chris' support and help, now they can motivate themselves to keep it going, to pay it forward for themselves and possibly others. They just needed someone to believe in them and give them something special to work for that they personally wanted to motivate them. Chris was good about finding that special something.

I really like Chris Powell. I wish in some respects the trainers on Biggest Loser were more like him. But then we wouldn't have all the drama.

I quite like it. There are real life struggles, and it shows how we fall off track then get back on. It is pretty realistic I think. My only problem with it is that they all have body-lift surgery. That addition to a transformation makes spectacular results for the end, but really isn't an option for many of us who have lost that kind of weight. Not to mention they don't bring up the body-elastic-suit that has to be worn for weeks after the surgery, the extreme pain and the scarring that occurs.

I like seeing the results and have been watching the show. It is a lot of the same thing each week with different people but then I've seen a lot of other weight loss shows like that. Just plodding along and making progress. But real life is not always excitingly different all the time either. The people on this show do face real struggles.

I've really enjoyed the show mainly the end results. I liked the diet tribe on lifetime last year but I don't think it is coming back.

I watch the show. I watch the beginning to see the beginning weight, then I push to the end to see the weightloss ( DVR).

It is quite predictable. It does take a year to film each one, though, so it is hard to change things now that they are here.

They're all like that--BL is the same thing every week. I have been watching this new one, and the saving grace is that it is only an hour!

Hello Gymrat, I've been watching the show and I do think some of the scenes are scripted but so are most "Reality" shows.

So far I've enjoyed the format. You are correct it's the samething different person. But I love seeing the results. That's my main reason for watching.

Has anybody been watching this show? I saw the first show with Rachel. Then I saw the last two weeks. It seems like it's going to be the same story every week with a different name. I think Chris is doing a great job with these people and the show seems realistic but I don't think I want to see another episode of the same thing but different person.
