I'm not new to SP - just returning after a hiatus. Sadly, during that time off, I did nothing to better myself. So here I am - right where I was before - starting over. I hope that this time I can get it right and lose this weight for good!!!!

This is the first challenge I have joined. Hoping it will help with the motivation I have been lacking. I used to be so active and running was my favorite thing, but now I feel so old and out of shape it's all I can do to get out of the house. I need structure so maybe this will help.

Hi, I'm Kitty. I was doing well for a while there, and then the holidays happened and I need to get back in the swing of things, so to speak. I'm getting really close to the goal that has been motivating me through this whole thing (the reason I wanted to lose weight in the first place) and I think the Boot Camp and the 100 push-up/200 sit-up/200 squat challenges just might be the boost I need to get back on the wagon.

Good luck to everyone and happy new year!

Hi I am very excited about the challenge I have joined another challenge at my jazzercise class also. This is a great motivator and looking forward to meeting and hearing the great results from all the teamates. I have lost 20.5 since September and hoping this will really boost myself to work harder and to achieve the goals that I have never done before. I also am waiting on my book which is in the mail as we speak Good luck to you all and lets see a little less of us at the end of January... emoticon

Hi
I am Helen from Hampshire in the UK.
I hope that this boot camp will get me off my back side and start exercising. I have about 9 stone that I want to get rid of before I turn 25 (03/10/11). Plus I am going on holiday in October and would like to be confident by the pool.

Trying Bootcamp for the first time!!
I lost about 17 lbs with SP (Mar 15th - Aug 15th, 2009) but let myself have too many "rewards" for the weight loss.
Now I am back & ready to change my life for the better!

Looking forward to this new year & a NEW me!!

Hi all, I'm not new to this, I'm starting over. I'm a wife, mother of 4 and a full time culinary student. Yes, that in itself makes it hard to stay on track. I'm more determined and focused now because I'm really getting tired of the way I look in the pictures that people are so eager to take of me.... lol Good Luck to all on this journey to better ourselves..

HI! New to bootcamps here, but very motivated to get back in shape before my trip to Jamaica this summer. The countdown has begun. I have a very busy schedule, ut decided I could give up some of my time to feel better about myself. I always seem to put everyone else first. This is my year, hubby will just have to get over it. LOL! Kids too! Can't wait to get started.

Hi,

I've been a member of SparkPeople for a while. I've collected more points than I've lost weight. I have been sidelined for about 6 weeks due to a torn ligament, but today the doctor said to try going back to normal exercise. YEA! I've been feeling so lethargic without exercising.

I'm happy that I can participate. Being in pain makes it hard to be excited about exercising.

I'm Kyria, a mother and wife whom works a p/t job. I have been a member of SP for a little over a year now and really like it. I am overweight and seem to be struggling to loose it, I recently stepped it up a notch. I am hoping that the bootcamp can keep me motivated, because I plan to do it in addition to my regular routine.

I love these bootcamps, because they are really helpful. Last year I lost 12 lbs with the bootcamp in Jan. I also did the bootcamp mid year, but lost nothing. I have found that with or without weight loss the bootcamps can be invigorating! I appreciate you guys offering them to us and I am so psyched for it to start!

Good Luck to everyone!

Hi! I'm just learning my way around here. I've lost nearly 40 pounds with exercise and Weight Watchers and ready to lose that last 60. I had fallen off the proverbial wagon over the summer and am working to get my exercise habits a little more steady. I think the bootcamp will really help with that. It'll keep me accountable. :)

Hi! My name is Gidget. I have dedicated the next 3 months to working on myself and planning a new business. Bootcamp will be a great kickoff for this. I have moved across the country and joined a gym in the last week or so. I have family, but no friends in the area. I hope to lose 25 pounds 10 of which was from being in my 30s and 15 was from quitting smoking almost 2 years ago. I'm very excited to keep the momentum of positive changes in my life.

I'm here to get back on track. When I got married, I was my heaviest at 160. I lost about 24 pounds with Weight Watchers, and then it became social for me rather than me following the plan and my weight started going up. I quit and it continued to go up. This time I am sticking with it to lose about 50 pounds.

I'm here to start my personal 50 before 50. I'd like to exercise 50 weeks before I turn 50! I figure if I can do that, the weight will follow. My job has a gym so I've gone to it 3 times a week for about 7 weeks. No weight loss but I was getting more in shape. This year I hope to exercise and lose. Here I come 50 b4 50!

Hi. This is Nancy. I know now I really need some encouragement. I joined spark again in March of this year. Oh my gosh. I went and got a new scale after the holiday. To my surprise it has a 20lb difference than my original scale. I wanted to cry. So instead of being 231 as I thought I am 251.4. I was so sad. However, I am now more determined than ever. To rock out in 2010.

When thinking of your weight loss and fitness motivation & weight loss goals, remove all fears by:

1.Focusing on the good
2.Focusing on the objective
3.Focusing on the goal
4.Focusing on the solution
5.Focusing on my aim
6.Focusing on the true destination

I am trying boot camp for a second time. My name is Julie and I have two children which I really need to keep up with now. LOL! I have about 15 pounds to lose and after that maintain. The first time I tried the boot camp, my life got crazy busy and I stopped it. So here is to a second and hopefully successful time!

Blessings to all of you on your journey!

Hi I'm KaLea. I have been up and down in weight pretty much my whole life. 3 kids helped that, at one point I had lost all of what I added with the pregnancies but I didn't do it the right way and gained it all back. I've never lost it the right way, exercise is not my favorite thing and until I started changing how I eat (in 2006 with WW) I kept gaining it all back. I have 30 lbs left to meet my goal and I am hoping this boot camp will stick the exercise habit so I can get where I want to be and stay there!

Hi! I'm 28 years old and last year I met my goal of being under 200 pounds! I ran my first 5K in October and can't wait for the snow to melt so I can do it again! I love new challenges so I'm up for some fun new exercises and healthy tips to add to my everyday life. I like running, Zumba, dancing, Boot Camp at the gym and group weightlifting class! I love wearing new gym clothes to motivate myself! Outside the gym, I like training and showing my dog (a Pembroke Welsh Corgi) and gardening. I live in central Illinois though so right now I can only plan and dream for spring. :)

It is so great to hear that I am not alone, although I wish no one was in my position. I started in 2007 and lost 30 lbs and quit coming to sparkpeople. Big mistake! It's back - all of it! So I am back at Sparkpeople to do it again and keep doing it until I reach my goal and then maintain. I am looking forward to the challenge. BTW - 45 in a couple of weeks, two kids, one dog, two cats, husband, full-time job and part-time home business keep me pretty busy.

One day, one step at a time!

Hi my name is Cassie. I have about 95lbs to lose. I have 3 kids. My youngest is 6 so it is time to quit saying that it is all baby fat. I work from home on a computer all day. So losing weight has not been easy. Besides having very little energy to exercise i have the tendency to get up during calls and grab something quick to eat. I am tired of being tired as well. I am only 29 years old and feel like i am at least 75 or so. I have constant back pain i know is due to the weight not to mention i am starting to feel it in my knees to. I am ready to lose this weight and be happy again.

Hi, I'm deb, I am 55, divorced and I have 25 pounds to lose. That felt like an AA meeting, which was harder to say, that I am 55, divorced or that I have 25 pounds to lose? Anyway, I need to lose the weight, and firm up places that used to have muscle and now there is some kind of cottage cheesy flab!!!
I am truly hoping that this boot camp will be the perfect kick off to my weight loss and fitness!!!

Other than being single, I have a great life, I love the Lord and want to serve Him better, I have 3 wonderful kids, a precious 1 year old granddaughter and another one on the way. I am blessed with great friends and family. I do wish I could retire, but I have a few more years to go.

Hi my name is Tina. I'm excited to start this new program. Only have 38 days till Jamaica, need to hit my goal by then. I start a exercise program, and by the end of the month, I end up stopping or skipping days. I need to stay motivated. Hoping this will work for me.

Hi Everyone

My name is Debbie, and I have around 40 lbs to lose. I am a mother of three boys, and I have two grand-daughters. I lost weight a few years ago, but got lazy and gained it back and then some. So, I am ready to start again and hope this will help.

Good Luck Everyone

Hello, my name is Jessica and I've been on Sparkpeople for six months now! I've lost 25 pounds and now it's time to get my butt back in gear. I'm doing the Biggest Lose Challenge 12 again this time around, and this is going to give me a jump start on that and on my New Year!

I don't win races, but I always cross the finish line. I'm not fast, but I try my best to become faster. I don't have sports endorsements or earn a paycheck, but that doesn't stop me from running. My pace does not define me. Just because "professional" does not precede "athlete" in describing me doesn't make my running any less valuable. I am an everyday athlete; leading a normal life, but with big goals and dreams.
I am an athlete. I am a runner. (runzoerun.com)

Hi everyone. My name is Anabell. I've been on a yo-yo battle with the scale for a long time. I'm 36 now and I feel very old because parts of my body are starting to hurt more than ever before. My knees are crackling and my body aches more than ever. I have a sit down job and am going to Grad school. I have 3 stepkids and one of our goals is to maybe add a family member to our group since I have never had any children although I really look like I have. My hormones are completely off and I know it's due to my weight. It's time for me to stop complaining and do something about my body.
