Doing the least on SP that I can for now but do spend almost 2 hrs. on. I don't know if you follow my blogs. I have 3 regarding the past 6-7 weeks of our lives. I am hoping to set some goals tonight and meet them sometime this week.

1. (and most urgent) DO TAXES!! Not started yet.
2. Try not to sit while mom is in the OR. Get up & walk a little
3. Have patience with mom and others around me.
4. Work on getting more than 5 hrs. of sleep at night.
5. Pray that mom does well so that I can go home with my DH for a week to be at our youngest granddaughter's first communion and then back to TX. to continue caring for mom.

Those are my goals for the month! (Actually things to do list as well).

Eileen

Slow & steady makes a winner of us. Even if we hit pitfalls, get up. Know that a new day is right around the corner.
Try to be all that you can be. Work at it a day at a time.

I see I have missed a few days. Busy ones too! Mom has been ill with the flu so running for her and trying to keep her in the house is hard.
Tomorrow,

Go to Falcon Lake to visit a SP friend.
Safe traveling with the car.
Enjoy the visit.

All your upcoming guests sound wonderful! And so does swimming. I hope to get back to swimming by the time it has warmed up here. It used to be my favorite form of exercise and I haven't done it in years now.

Today's list:

Pay bills and get tax stuff together
Prep and cook
Make arrangements for upcoming bridge tournament

I know what you are saying about keeping this going. I tend to leave it until the last thing at night and if too tired, it's easy to leave and shouldn't be.
Roger is out and going again. Just a rough weekend esp. when we are responsible for the ice cream social on Sundays. There is a total of 8 of us and some back up help and 4 were ill as well as a couple of the back up people. Had to scramble for help but they came through for me and all went well. I think most will be back for this coming Sunday.

Tomorrow,
1. Get the sewing machine out and do some mending that's setting there
2. Get the guest room cleared and ready for guests that will be coming. Also need to find so wall decor as we don't have any in there. Not on tomorrow's list though.
3. Open up the house and enjoy the weather. Get in some pool time!!!

I hope your husband is feeling better. All the boys here have had it in the last couple of weeks and it was tenacious. They are all finally better and I am happy not to be buying multi-packs of Puffs Plus for a while!

I am trying to get back on track with this habit, which really helps me when I do it the night before. Since I didn't do it last night, here it is for today:

1. Find the paperwork my husband needs for the refinance
2. Plenty of new puppy time - walks, frequent trips outside, and cuddles.
3. Work on my chapter. I have 11 days til my deadline and I am on track if I keep pushing.

Goals met today.

Tomorrow,
1. be sure DH stays in bed, not getting out and around people as he has a nasty cold.

2 After church and lunch, call and get another person to help with the ice cream social.

3. Do set up alone and hope to have it done by the time the helpers come in. Will have help with clean up (IC social)

Another person in the park went to the hospital with a blood clot in the lungs. Our friend seems to be improving slowly. Haven't heard anything today.

To do tomorrow:
Work on getting the spare room cleaned up. Have totes in there we haven't unpacked yet. It's my sewing room, keyboard room, basically an all purpose room. I have a friend from back home coming down and our daughter will spend a week with us in Feb. so room needed.

Pay the taxes before 1-31

Get the ice cream for our Sunday ice cream social.

I hope your friend with the flu is okay. It is terrible here - all three of my children have some version of the crud right now.

Tomorrow:
Finish the paperwork I still haven't finished!
Write for a couple of hours
Take a nice long walk

Sounds like a good idea and I hope others join in. For right now, I think I am going to bow out as I have so many things in the fire currently. I will follow if I can!

I just read a great article on why it is so important to prioritize yourself. Here's the link:
http://www.sparkpeople.com/blog/blog.asp
?post=how_to_prioritize_yourself_and_b
e_more_effective_in_your_life

One of her suggestions is each evening, identify your top three personal action items for the next day and decide when you will accomplish them. Think do-able. If these daily goals seem overwhelming, make them smaller. A fifteen minute walk that you take is better than the 45 minute one you couldn’t fit in. If possible, knock out your personal priorities early in the day.

I am going to try this.

Today my personal goals are:
Walk in the morning
Write to my aunt
Work on my chapter
