emoticon emoticon I think many of can admit to belonging to that vicious circle of overeating, then hating ourselves for eating and then eating some more!!!! This is really the right place to break that circle, lose weight, gain health and confidence!!!!

Hi! My name's Chianne and i'm a bibliophile. ;-)
I am 20 years old (21 in about 2 months) and one of my long-term goals is to lose around 50 or so pounds.
I've been struggling with my weight for over half of my life and, as a result, i've never really been confident in myself. For as long as I can remember, i've weighed 200 or more pounds. I remember feeling down and sorry for myself a lot throughout the years, and then feeling more guilty when I would turn to food as a comfort for those feelings. But I never did anything about it. I realize now, that was my mistake. So, instead of feeling depressed and guilty, I got angry. And that's when I decided that my lifestyle choices were no ones fault but my own, and if I wanted things to change, I would have to change them.
So, I got up one morning, with determination, and made a few small changes. I quit drinking soda completely, and mostly just drink water now. I make sure to eat breakfast every day, and drink atleast 7 glasses of water a day. And I just started a Yoga program a few days ago.
With just those small changes, i've lost 22 pounds since January! I now weigh 182 pounds (something I haven't weighed since Middle School!). Now that I know I can actually do this, I just want to make sure I stick to it. And I was hoping joining a group of people with stories similar to mine would help me do that. I've read through some of the posts and I love how you guys motivate and stick with eachother. And i'm hoping this journey will be a little easier knowing I can turn to this place for support.

You guys are doing amazing.. Keep up the good work! And feel free to message me or anything, if you have any questions or just want to chat :-) Though, just a warning, i'm pretty much completely socially awkward..
