hi all!!!i just started slimming world about 2 weeks ago, and i am loving it!!!! i am down 5.6 lbs so far, and it seems to be coming off pretty consistently. i would love any meal or general advice that anyone is able to offer!!!

Hi everyone. Re-joined sw three weeks ago. After doing extra easy for a few weeks and having very slow weight loss switched to red days yesterday and already dont feel so bloated. Weigh in is on wednesday evening so hope to have at least lost a few pound this week even though I will only have been doing red for a few days.

Hi All
I was so excited to find this group on SP as I'm new to SW plan and would love to have (and extend) some support. I'm following EE on my own. A few years a good friend introduced me to SW and I thought it was too good to be true. Now, my first week going, I'm still a little unsure at times , even scared of some types of food (rice , cheese unlimited fruits and veggies) but taking it slow and steady.

I have been away from the SW planfor so long but have got to pull myself together and start again.
I broke my arm this year and comfort ate stupidly whilst unable to exercise very much.
2014 is the year I get to target hopefully.

Hi team and hello Lisa. We are friends via the cross stitching world,
I have tried all tried all the big clubs , I knew this one suits me as its so versatile .
I want to be under 10 stone, I vary now between 10 3 and 10 6 max. But usually the scale hovers over 3,
Just now I have all going on.It is hospital day today or my husbands cataract surgery.no Idea how long we will be there, but I am taking fruit and water as emergency rations , i will do something with chicken tonight,
Right who I am concentrating on healthy eating and doing what exercise I can and trying to to stress over it all. Enjoy your day ,

I normally have porridge made with water for breakfast, but am thinking on the days I intend to have sandwich or beans on toast etc, have fruit for breakfast that day and then use the bread as my HeB, saving myself 6 syns

Yes I attend in the morning too. Having lived in Spain for 14 yrs, returned home in March 2012, hence the 21lbs weight gain, I used a lot of EVOO but have switched to frylight. I stir fry a lot and add some beans for my main meal. A plate of fresh fruit is usually my breakfast these days. All healthy stuff will get us there.

Yes it is the same group although at a different venue. I attend that one as it is in town and has a daytime meeting which suits me. Also I weigh less in the morning :-) I don't do artificial sweetener or frylight. So if I need sweet or oil I have to syn it, but with oil I only use a maximum of a teaspoon so 2 syns and as I rarely eat pudding sugar isn't too much of an issue. I just eat more fruit and veg when I am following a healthy eating plan.

Yes I've had to ditch the chocolate too...as you say, major vice that one!! I do love my mug of Options, Belgium choc of course every day and count the syns.
I've met so many inspiring people at my group that have lost a lot of weight so this programme certainly works of we stay with it.
Have you returned to the say group you attended before? I see a lot of that where I am.

I dont expect to make huge losses. I stopped eating chocolate (my major vice ) on the 30th June. Unfortunately I replaced the fat in that with eating Kettle Crisps, so now I need to only have the odd pack of SunBites as a substitute, but not everyday. If I do plenty of exercise whilst following a lower fat diet, I will lose the weight, but my aim is a realistic 1 - 2 lbs per week, not half a stone at a go. I am currently just over 13 stone and would like to get back below 10 so that my BMI is within the healthy range.

Well I started at beginning of June and because I don't eat meat chose the green plan. However I've had huge hiccups re portion sizes!! Members in group are chowing down huge quantities, and losing like nobodies business!! I only seem to get away with meager portions...not fair but the best my body will do!

At the moment I am following EE as that is what is recommended but as I am a starch lover I expect eventually I will do a mix of both EE and Green. I have never followed the Red plan

I could say ditto to everything you wrote...although I'd never done SW before decided I needed the accountability of attending a local group.
I see you have 21lbs to lose...same as me....

I have decided to give SW another go and see if I can get my weight back to something that is relatively healthy. Although I find Spark People a great resource for logging what I have eaten and tracking exercise, I still feel I need to have a regular group weigh in to keep me motivated to stay on track and luckily where I live there is a daytime group. I did join two weeks ago, but did not go this week (had a stressful week and did not want to see scales saying I was the same or more) but back I go next Tuesday.
