It has been quite some time since I have been on Sparkpeople. I think I need to definitely treat this time around as if it were my first. Life's been a bit crazy with a whole lot of changes. Good changes! But Changes nonetheless.

I have gained weight, and although I don't mind the way my body is right now, I do want to lose at least one size in my jeans, and get more toned up! I also want to try and work on healthier eating habits for myself.

I still can't believe how motivated I used to be, and STILL thought, then, that I was overweight. I look back at pictures of myself and can't believe how fit I was. Now I just want to focus on getting back to a healthier lifestyle. I want to WANT to workout again, and I really need to try and get at least 3 healthy meals in for the day. Since I've started at my current job, which was a little over a year ago, my eating habits have changed drastically.

Sorry for the essay! But I am hoping that getting back on spark, and participating in the spark teams, I can get back that motivation I used to have!

Hi everyone!

I'm kinda new to this group. I own a bunch of Jillian Micheals workouts. I have grown to love her workouts; just the fact that most of them are circuit workouts. I just completed her 30DS last month and I'm currently doing Ripped in 30. I am so glad I joined this group because I get to meet people who are on the same boat and workout program as I am. Hello Everyone!

I own several of JM DVDs as many of you may do too. I always switch them up and rotate them when my body gets use to one. I am currently using her Kickboxing vid for my cardio. OMG! She never, ever lets you down. Her workouts always leaves me depleted, but feeling so good!

Anyone feeling intimidated, I say try not to because Jillian is a tough-loving workout! It will only make you stronger! emoticon

I can simplify my life and lighten my burdens by deciding realistically what I want to do and what I have time to do. (~_^)

Hi. I am returning to SP after a long absence. I've lost a lot of weight and then regained it! I got sloppy with eating and lazy with workouts. I own many of JM's dvds but I haven't tried them except for the BL ones. I guess I'm a bit intimidated. So, i've decided to try what everyone recommends to start out with, 30day shred. I have a goal wt of losing 20 lbs. to lose this month, that'll put me in the higher end of healthy zone.I regained that amt back so I have to lose it before my niece's quinceañera ball! I will be happy with -15lbs. I think I can squeeze into my dress with that. I have a question. Are we suppose to workout every day back to back for thos 30day workouts? There are many strength training wkts and are we not suppose to give that muscle a day or 2 break? Please enlighten me! Tks.

Good afternoon everyone!

I am going to re-introduce myself!

Although my name is part of the team leaders, I havent been on spark for I'd say almost a year? This past year has been really crazy for me and there have been many many changes! I moved out into my own little studio, then I FINALLY decided to go back to school! Which I am super happy about. And work just has been crazy. And the juggling of work and school has me tired all the time! There are some new positions coming out over here at my job which I am hoping I get so thats gonna be another crazy but awesome change! But yea I havent been able to track my eating and until recently, I am starting to feel the weight gain!

Now that spring is in the air, and the weather is getting nicer and I am feeling a bit more motivated to workout and get back into a healthy weight! Im hoping I can get the motivation from spark that I got when I first started my weight loss journey!

Hope everyone new here is having a wonderful day and is getting the motivation they need too!!

I'm Aylamay, been here on Spark for a little while, but only now an I turning to this group. The one I was in was very sluggish and inactive, just dragged what little energy I had down the sewer. I needed to find a more energetic group, so here I aml

I am 5'3" and started at 198 originally before spark. I got down to 177 on 7/23. I then had a physical illness or medication induced edema set in and cause my weight to go right back up to 198 in one week! I called the doctor right away and I am now on a diuretic, and a medicaiton change. The 20 pounds in one week weight gain was quite alarming and really scared me. I don't know what exactly caused it, but the doctor said it might be from not rating enough protein. So now I drink a 60 gram protein shake a day.

The protein loss is due to a disorder called lymphangiectasia. (google littleleakers.com if you are interested) Sometimes, if I try to diet too hard and don't eat enough protien, my stomach and my hands and arms and legs swell up..

I'm looking forward to belonging to this JM Sparkers Group. I have a whole bung of JM vieo workouts already, all set for using. I look forward to being a part of this team!

Hi Everyone, I have been doing JM's videos for several months. I like them because they don't waste time and have made me stronger. I feel like a lot of the videos I used to do would take an hour an not accomplish what Jillian's do in 30 minutes. I am doing 30 DS right now, day 2 of level 3 and it's kicking my booty into shape! Sumo Squat jumps! AGH!

Hi everyone. I'm new to this team, but not to Jillian. I completed the 30DS in April then moved on to the Killer Abs DVD, now I am almost done with the 30DS for the second time. I have had really great results with her DVD's, but I am a huge fan of circuit training in general. I am wanting to move on to a different one of her DVD's and am looking for suggestions. I was considering the Burn Fat Boost Metabolism DVD or the Body Revolution Set.

I have about 23 pounds to lose to hit my personal goal, 43 pounds to lose to hit the BMI chart goal (I am really more interested in my personal goal, anything above that is icing on the cake), but I am not a slave to the scale. I measure inches weekly as well, so losing fat and building muscle is the overall priority, but I won't lie and say that I don't like that number on the scale to go down too (who doesn't).

Any thoughts and information on your personal experiences with her workouts (even if they aren't the ones I am thinking about) would be greatly appreciated! I am turning 40 in October as well as attending my baby brother's wedding and I want to look AMAZING for both events. I have already lost 68 pounds, so I am definitely on my way, but I need to vamp things up a bit so I can be even closer to (if not at) goal by then. Thanks in advance!!!

Hi all!

Just joined Spark People and have been doing Jillian's 90 day for the past 2 weeks consistently. Before that I had been doing it 1-2 times a week. I am working on videos 3&4 right now and really love it. There are still some moves though that I can't totally complete, although I have gotten so much better. On video #4 I finally added weights to the move where you have to get o your knew and then and stand up, all the while holding weights above your head! Gotta love Jillian!

I am re-introducing myself even though I am part of the team leaders of this wonderful spark team! I have been MIA for the past couple of months. Life, stress and changes have gotten in the way and has put such a damper on my motivation that I gained a lot of weight. Its a little sad/fustrating that I let certain issues get to me to the point where I just let myself go. But I looked in the mirror yesterday and I was like this has to stop! I can't let all my hard work go to waste! So I am going to PUSH myself to sign into spark more often, keep up with my spark teams, spark friends, and tracking my nutrition and fitness!

Im sorry sachabee and rhonda for not being around but I promise you I will be here more often! This is one of my favorite teams and I am looking forward to interacting with everyone here!

I have just recently finished 30 day level 1 and am now doing Jm kicking boxing level 1, I want to continue doing kick boxing but add 30 day level 2.

I wake up early enough to do one in the morning so I'm thinking of doing my second work out when I get home from work.

to reach my next goal I need to lose 24, so I think stepping up my workouts are the way to go.

Hi JM Sparkers!
I just finished the 30 day shred, yeahhh!, Now I just keep doing it everyday until I can decide my next step~No More Trouble Zones, Banish Fat Boost Metabolism, or Body Revolution, maybe a combination of them. I'm really excited about the results from the shred, I organized my pants in my closet according to which week I thought I might be able to fit into them, I'm able to wear all of them now, including the ones I thought I was going to have to sell in my garage sale. Now I have to manage feeling/ looking good about wearing shorts, I live in the South and Spring is knocking at my front door and I'm still clinging to the glory of being able to wear my Aeropostale jeans that just made their way back into my life. I'm excited to be a part of the group, hope everyone has a great day!

Hey everyone, I'm on Day 24 of the 30 Day Shred, just 6 more to go! She's majorly kicked my butt. I'm tempted to do Ripped in 30 next, but a lot of people have got me thinking about Body Revolution so now I'm not sure.

I had my 3rd beautiful baby 8 months ago and sadly I never did lose the pregnancy weight from #2 so I have 2 pregnancies worth of extra weight to shed (or shred).

Since new years I'm down 14.4 lbs and 12 inches! I'm really hoping to take it even further with Jillian and with a group of other Jillian fans.

Someday is today!

Hi everyone. I'm actually a new follower of Jillian Michaels. I never really paid that much attention to her over the years. For some reasons I started watching biggest loser, never watched it before. I've found I like her style. When I'm exercising and want to slow down or rest I imagine her yelling at me "Don't be a quitter!" or any of her other sayings. Weird but whatever keeps me going. I've also been listening to her podcasts. They are part of my evening routine. I listen and do puzzles. I think they have made me a stronger person. I've been finding myself speaking up to people who I never have before. Glad I found this team!

Love, love, love Jillian! Thank you Jillian for not asking my to be a superhero, but I hope to feel like one by the time I let you give me a sufficient beating! I've never made it through to the final week of 30 Day Shred or Ripped in 30. That is my present goal. I am also doing Bob's Kettlebell workout twice a week. It's called the inside out method. Hope to find encouragement and inspiration with this team and also hope to dish some out as well.

I'm with you, SDLEE514 -- I just CAN'T get into running and it seems like that's the popular thing to do now to get in shape. Never mind that it seems to take forever, hurts my knees, and I don't lose weight. :o( Anyways, glad to hear I'm not the only one. I'm glad to be back "on" Jillian -- she really helped me at the beginning of 2012 and was barely trying. Can't wait to attack my new 4 month plan/cycle with her videos.

Hey fellow JM fans! I pretty much like all of Jillian's dvds, I have her new Body Revolution, Ripped in 30, 6 wk 6 pack, No more trouble zones, Boost Metabolism, and Shed & Shred. I got into her because I'm not a runner, and it seems like that's what the majority of people do to exercise. I'm trying to get really in shape and toned, and it seemed like her workouts were a good option.

Currently I've made my own 3 month plan rotating out various DVDs from the above list and following SP nutrition/calorie guidelines and have lost a couple pounds, hoping to keep it up.

Good morning all!! I just started the Ripped in 30 Days dvd. I did day 1 yesterday, and, since I'm sooooo sore this morning, I have decided to do it every other day! Anywho, if anyone has done this dvd, please let me know what you thought of it and your results. Thanks emoticon
