Hey everyone!
My name is Brent, I'm 22 and going to college. Trying to find the time with my job, internship, fraternity, and a maximum course load, to work out has been a bit difficult, but I'm trying I just joined a group fitness class thats once a week, and I am here on spark people. I to create a habit of exercising and eating right. loosing weight will come its the habit I need to form.

Hi, I'm Hannah. I'm new and I have a problem. It's called FAT. It will not go anywhere but to my middle section. I was told that I'm an apple shape and thats the worst body shape to be. Cause carrying fat around the middle is not healthy at all. I'm unfortunately been giving this from my mom, and grandmother. Thanks Genes! So, I have to do something to get rid of them. I know doing crunches alone will not get rid of the fat but tone my abs that are buried underneath layers of fat. So, cardio and strength training are going to start becoming a daily task for me along with crunching.
I hope that this group can help me to motivate me to crunch a way.

How is everyone doing?

This is Michael Lyons. I joined this group because I need to do more crunches to lose the 100 lbs that I want to lose by August 11th, 2010.

I started working out again (after a year and a half of not doing anything) on August 11th, 2009. I want to lose at least 8 lbs a month, so I think that this group will motivate me to do more crunches which will help me lose the amount of weight that I want to lose. I know there is no such thing as "spot training", but I do a lot of cardio and I need this group to help motivate me to get the proper amount of crunches done a day. I would say 100 crunches starting (10 reps for 10 sets) will get my middle section tighter and I can lose more inches that way too.

Hello was browsing teams and ran into this one and crunches is a favorite of mine. In the past I started body building age 32 and stopped at 39 than I just ate and drank. Now at 52 I want what I had at 39 so here i am.I also used to be a personal fitness trainer am retired from that now own and run a camp ground and this is my very busy time so must use my time wisely,which leaves no time for tv. No great loss there.

Welcome, Shana and Heather!!!!!! Shana, your husband might think doing your crunches is weird now, but I bet when he starts seeing how great you look and how disciplined you've become, he'll change his tune. :-)

Heather, you must be incredibly busy with classes and trying to stay on the wagon to maintain that fantastic 35-lb weight loss. You will get back on track. We'll give you a push, if you need it! LOL

Hi Team! About one year ago I lost 35 lbs and maintained that weight for 9 months. I fell off the wagon when I started working my masters degree. I am two classes away from obtaining my degree and need to get back on track seeing as I am getting married next May. I look forward to being part of the team.

My husband thinks I'm weird because I like to do crunches. emoticon My favorite are just regular crunches, though I also really like bicycle crunches (though they're so hard to do!!).

Hi All,

Been here the past 2 weeks but haven't said hello so wanted to do that now!

I hurt both hips last week overdoing it in an ultimate frisbee game, a group of 30+ ers vs. a high school team. :(

So...my cardio workouts are suffering. From what I've read it will likely be a 1 more week before I'm back walking a couple miles/day and several before I'm back to my full cardio routine (basketball, ultimate frisbee, running, etc.) so if anyone has any good cardo workouts that don't involve running, jumping, something with limited hip movement, shoot me an email.

Hey everyone. I am new to the team, one month into Spark People and finally lost my first 5 pounds in over two years. I have 40 to lose total. I joined crunchers because I have always been impressed with those that can co 100 and more crunches. I am 52 years young and am new to your team. I have belly fat and would love to get rid of it. Where do I go to find out how to do your crunches? I have lower back problems will this have an impact on my back. I currently do Turbo Jam's standing abs, but need more. When I was way younger I remember do many crunches. Once my stomach muscles get back into shape the crunches will be like breathing. I need you guys to guide me. I'm glad to be here and am ready to go.

Hi All ~

I'm relatively new to SP and I'm hoping it will help me through the plateau I hit while doing it on my own. So far I'm down 24 lbs (7 since joining SP) and have 18 to goal! I am now realizing that a lovely belly could indeed be in my future ~ so here I am in 'CRUNCHERS!'

My name is Niki. I am 22 years old. I married my high school sweet heart last June, and life is wonderful! I am a Marketing and Business major..and I am graduating college May 7th!! I can't believe it! I am a case manager at law firm. I work with Social Security disability cases. It is a really fulfilling job and I love going to work everyday. I have been struggling with my weight for about 4 years.
