Welcome! Good to see someone else that's crazy about cats. We have six indoor and a lot outdoor. I have seen at least five different ones, but only one will let us pet him, and that's not very often. We know that the one we pet, named Rise (short for Sunrise as he's orange tabby and white) is the sibling of our indoor Linus. We were able to get Linus (he tried to get in our dog run which would have been disastrous), but Rise never shows up during the vet's hours of operation. All said and done, for the past twenty plus years, I've always had at least four cats. There was an exception where for a couple months we only had two, and the house seemed very empty. That was remedied by getting three kittens.

Hope to hear more from you!

Welcome, Lisa. It sounds like you have cats like a friend of mine does sometimes except he got all his where he worked. Now he and his wife have 5 that came to their house. 4 were born there just before a cold winter so they took the babies inside and their mom took off. The next year another one showed up. They are all inside kitties now. She also adopted a dog and then found one out in the rain somewhere so took her home. So they have a pretty full household.

I have one little adopted cat who is 7, we think. I got him 2 years ago after losing my last dog. Then a breeder friend gave me one of her dogs that Orzo showed who was boss but seems to love now. They are my family.

emoticon I'm afraid we don't get to care for stay cats. When we moved in, the lady next door was feeding 40 stray cats, then the coyotes moved in. Her last cat disappeared a couple months ago. I live in the country where people have horses, cows, goats, chickens and barns. Even the barn cats are locked in the barns at night.

I am a 2nd grade teacher. I have 4 inside cats and 2 outside cats. Then a couple of months ago, I had a furry cat show up. Then there were 2 of them - exactly the same! Then there was another cat that showed up that looks like my outside cat Tiger. Then there were 2 of them (not counting my Tiger). My neighbor took in a cat that showed up at her house, then I took in one that just like hers during all the big snow days (still in = 5 inside). Then another one showed up that look like her - triplets!! So now within 3 months, I am feeding at least 6 new cats. Who knows, the sets of twins may be triplets! I think that someone must have moved off and left them. Good news - The one that moved in is already fixed!!!! Yea!!! Hopefully the rest of the girls are fixed.

Thank you to Turtle69 for the nice welcome! emoticon
