I wish you lived by me cause I found some pretty good snacks. I eat these soy chips (favor apple/cinn) low calories really good, and i found these type of rice cakes (not like one in store) found at a farmer's market 15 calories and you can put peanut butter on them etc..Klondike ice cream bars are good (the sugarless ones) My diet is more gear to low carbs and sugars. I am insulin diabetic. Good Luck we will all do this !!!

And maybe you might want to do an activity that excludes eating. I knit.

Hello everybody!!!
Just a quick hi and to ask a question. I quit smoking two weeks ago,(Monday) and having a hard time at night with the munchies.I do fine during the day but when i'm more idle at night I want to eat everything. Does anybody have some suggestions on what to munch on that's crunchy but little caloies. Besides raw veggies?
Thanks,
Texasbetty3

emoticon You have joined up with a great team. I am fairly new also and have received much needed help and encouragement! I am focusing on nutrition and becoming healthy and not so much on losing weight. I also have tried many many diets only to regain the weight. Now I want to learn to eat the right foods and the right portions. That is helping me right now. Tracking my food really keeps me in check. I have done weight watchers and did very well in the beginning but got so tired of keeping track of points that I just stopped. And of course the weight came right back. I have been told that once you learn the right foods to eat it and how much to eat that it becomes a habit and you just do it. I have found since a month ago that I crave healthy food. Maybe that's because I am learning the affects that foods have on my body, good and bad. I only want the good stuff! lol! Good luck! Write any time! I know with God's guidance and the encouragement of this team I can do it. And I believe that you can do it too! We can do it together :-)

I would like to thank you all for the nice welcome. Thanks for the suggestions. I am starting to use all the trackers and for now it is keeping me in line. I would appreciate and help how to stay motivated because that's where I run into problems.
Thanks again so much for the help.

Hi Texas Betty! I quit and came back after I found my "lost" weight! I have to stay active on the site, writing messages, blogging, and definitely logging my food and exercise. You can do it!

Next time you want to quit, promise yourself one more week and really give it your all. Making yourself stay on the program may be its own reward, but you know you can do it if you keep going one more day.

hi, I'm new to sparks, but a chronic yo yo dieter myself. I can lose weight, but keeping it off is an issue for me. I don't have a healthy lifestyle"yet" but I'm determined to change. I'm going to keep going until I make ALL the changes I want to make. Don't give up on you, you're worth it,and so am I!

I'm 57 soon to be 58 and I still am at the same weight i was a few years ago. I have been on and off alot of plans just to end up at the same place. I'm 237 lbs and have been a yo yo dieter for years. I just get so far and lose the motivation and go back to my bad eating habits. I did belong to the spark site awhile ago but like everything else, gave up. I need help and suggestions on how to keep going.
Thanks,
Texasbetty3
