Those last 15 pounds are going to come off slower for most people. It can be tempting to crash diet at this phase because of the eagerness to obtain a goal. I wish you all the best emoticon

Hi and I need to lose 15 pounds, weight goes up rather than down.

All things are possible if you only believe, even losing 15 pounds

Welcome to the team here!
You sound like you are really giving your all to making positive changes in your life. I can tell you are going to be a great dad for your little girl to look up to. It's not easy making such complete life changes like you have but you are doing it for the right reasons and that is a great motivator. My philosophy when raising my two kids was "every day is an adventurous journey", so continue to enjoy your journey and whatever advenures it brings your way.

To me HEALTH means Energy. Stamina. Flexibilty. A relatively pain free body. Enjoying healthy food. You are your body, and your weight loss efforts will succeed exactly to the extent that you mange to do the work on behalf of your embodied self. You’ll do much better when you focus on making positive changes to improve your health and well-being, rather than on fighting your bad habits.

Hello, My name is Tim. I'm a 56 year old S.A.H.D. (Stay At Home Dad) with a 3 year old daughter. My wife who is considerably younger than me approached me in 2008 and said she wanted a baby. Being down this road before, I was a little shocked. After 14 years Navy, 5 years in an Environmental Service and 10 years of driving truck, I was always gone. Just the guy who came home.....Once in a while. I agreed under the condition that we don't use daycare. I want to be home for this one and be the best father that I can be. She not only agreed but already had it planned out anticipating what I would want. So on the day my daughter was born, I went to the local grain elevator and weighed myself. Our bathroom scale only went to 350 lbs. I came in at 358 lbs. I just say 360. I put myself on a self prescribed 1200 calorie a day diet. Not only did I lose weight but I think that I nearly lost my sanity as well. Over the next 11 months I lost 170 lbs. experiencing, blurred vision, sleep deprivation, inability to make a decision, 2nd, 3rd and even 4th guessing myself. Loss of mental clarity and the list goes on and on. I lost weight without consideration to my health. I gained back 15 pounds going up to 210 lbs. while eating under 1800 calories. I am taking nutritional classes and have been on track. I have lost a total of 12 pounds since January on a 2130 calorie a day meal plan. I try to keep as much protein from plants and then lean meats. I only eat beef and pork 2 or 3 times a week.I walk/run 6 days a week and lift weights 3 days a week. Basically 1 hour a day with 1 day off. My goal is 180 lbs. & 11 -15% body fat by January 2015. I'm still learning my way around the site, so my response to most anything will be slow, for now. Hope you all have a great day emoticon
