I had a very pleasant surprise yesterday, one of those 'serendipity' things for sure. My daughter and I went to a concert at the local university - and because we had a fairly significant drive to get there, the conversation touched on many subjects. Somewhere - out of the clear blue sky - she announced, "I've lost 9 pounds on the ETL plan" Boing (slapping my head) - how come I didn't know that she had started eating ETL a couple of weeks ago?? I've been telling her how good I feel when I stick with the ETL plan, and thought she wasn't paying a bit of attention - now I find out that I am more influential with her than I even imagined!! What a nice surprise to be doing a good thing and have my grown-up kid follow in my footsteps.

This gives me more incentive to be more faithful to the plan myself!!

Do it, NOW!

HI

I joined the team a few weeks ago. I have been eating 70% vegetarian for quite a while. I've tried Dr. Furhmans way off and on for a while. My biggest problem is I get off track when I have to travel. Junk food for a few days!!!! Since travel is a part of my life for right now I need to just do it.

So this time I am going to commit to the 6 week challenge and take it one step at a time. My biggest goal is to become medicine free!!!!

Today was the beginning of my 3rd day & I am down 2.5!! I am not hungry at all & find it difficult to get in all of the raw & cooked veggies & fruit & beans!! It's really alot of food!! I am starting my day everyday with the Eat your Greens Smoothie which I LOVE!!
This seems to be working for me too!!

Hello all!

I am in my fourth day of the Eat to Live 6-week challenge. I feel great and I've already lost three pounds of mostly body fat (according to my fancy dancy bathroom digital scale). Pretty freakin' cool when you think about it. That's like losing the equivalent weight of three 16 oz cans of beans!

I have been a vegetarian for almost four years, so the transition to the Eat to Live plan hasn't been a dramatic change. It's just been a matter of upping the veggies and cutting out all the extra yuck stuff, aka processed foods and sugar.

I am so excited to be doing this. I can't wait to see what other changes, inside and out, are in store for me on my journey! emoticon
