I hate the scale. I go by how my clothes fit and how I look and feel.

So many days I would feel great about myself and then I would go step on the scale and immediately feel like s**t about myself because it wasn’t telling me the number I thought I “should” weigh.

I eat healthy. I can play soccer for 90 minutes, go for a 6 hour bike ride and lift heavy weights. I’m seriously over caring how much I weigh.

I think once a week would be healthiest - avoid letting a number on the scale govern my day or my feelings and decrease the obsession with numbers. But truthfully, I cant do it. I wind up weighing myself every morning.

I weigh in monthly now. I am about 13 pounds from goal and my weight loss is so slow lately that the scale was stressing me out. So, I rely on how I am feeling, how my clothing fit, my energy levels, sleep, etc. to plot my journey but weigh in once a month to make sure I stay on the downward track,

Being positive is a choice. My Mantra: “Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day." Each morning seek the positive and you will have a good day. Always remember, “Your only competition is YOU.”

Daily. For me it is accountability. If I know I have to step on the scale tomorrow morning I am less likely to go off the rails. I don't stress the daily ups and downs, I pay attention to the general trajectory.

I weigh daily but only log my 7 day average weekly to give me a better picture of my overall weight loss. It evens out those emotional daily highs and lows and I get a true picture of what my weight has done over the week.
