* A lamb shank, stewed in a slow-cooker in a mixture of red wine, water & rosemary.

* Orange mash - 1/2 of the following mixture (300gms potato, 250gms grey pumpkin, a tsp of margarine & a few Tbs of skim milk)

* Steamed vegetables - 1/2 large sliced carrot, 1 small corn cob, broccoli, a button squash & 1/2 cup of peas

Homemade sourdough noodles tossed with mushrooms, onions, and spinach sautéed in olive oil (a little dried thyme, savory, and garlic powder in there for good measure), all held together by some Boursin garlic and herb cheese. Then a small glass of white wine, and some walnuts for dessert.

Homemade gumbo with turkey hot dogs and shrimp. It was tasty.

If you go by the way side on an eating bing, just get up and start again. I always say I will be on a diet for the rest of my life because I love food. But since Spark People I can eat the right foods and not get out of control. Keep up the good work no matter what people say about you. Love yourself. Do it for yourself and no one else. This keep me going.

We got a new slow cooker as a gift, so I made a Thai Chicken. It was so easy. I just put the chicken in and topped it with a sauce made with salsa, a little peanut butter, hot pepper, soy sauce, and lime juice. Cooked it on high for 6 hours, and yummers. We had 1/2 cup of brown rice and a cup of swiss chard with it.

Birds Eye Garlic Chicken from Costco. I add more frozen vegetables and I can get 3 meals out of one bag. 300 calories per serving. I serve it with a side of fruit too and my kids always ask for this dinner. It has lots of veggies so this is a good alternative to get my kids to eat veggies.
