Ice cream is my biggest problem food; in fact, eating an entire gallon of it in one sitting is one of the things that made me realize I had a problem. It's banished from my house, period.
I still have cravings (interestingly, NOT ice cream, however) and I'm ashamed to admit that sometimes I do give in to them. When they hit, I'll eat ANYTHING: a bag of salad croutons, half a box of DRY bran cereal, and things I don't even particularly like, such as crackers. It's probably more a compulsion than a craving. I can't figure out what triggers them either; I'm not necessarily bored or stressed, and I usually DO have better things to do with my time when they hit. I do know that I'm more likely to experience the compulsion to overeat when there's no one around and I have the "freedom" to indulge without someone else's judgment.

I'm a sucker for desserts but today when I knew there were brownies in the breakroom and I was offered one, I declined. They're in there just waiting and taunting me, but I'm not giving in. All those calories depleted for one small brownie - no thanks! :) I opted for a bowl of fresh fruit - still sweet and much healthier.

Once you get into a habit of eating good foods and making most of the lower calorie ones, the less you will want those greasy fast foods. They can add the pounds back quite quickly. Keep up the good work!
For me, it's fast food. I've been one week "clean" so far, feeling better than I have in a while. What I keep in mind is, I WANT to lose weight...I CAN lose weight...and I NEED to lose weight. Week One and the mantra has worked so far :)
