@FEEESH happy you got it all figured out.

I concur, losing weight in your 40's (I will be 50 before the end of the year.) definitely sucks.

MLAN - yeah I was actually way under my calorie range which I thought was good as I’m trying to lose weight, but I guess combined witht he heavy training it was just killing my metabolism.

I’m off the Intermittent Fasting. Ive doubled my food intake, yet I’m down 2 lbs this week so I think I’m on the right track now.

Looks like I was probably eating too little. GOt a little hel,p on my nutrition to keep eating lean whole foods but double my food intake fo the day. Kept my workout routine the same. ANd in the last week I’m down 2 pounds so after being plateaued for about 6 weeks, its starting to drop again, woohoo!

I would say make sure you are hitting within your calorie range AND meeting your macros (fat, protein, carbs).

Hmm maybe too little? I dunno. I haven’t gone over 2100 calories in a day except once or twice in the last month and those times it was still under 2400 which is my max recommended on Spark here.

I weight over 300 and lift every day, maybe more food? How does that work though, ugh.....so complicated, lol

If you aren't losing, something is up with your nutrition. You could be eating too much, or, I honestly suspect, maybe eating too little.

Yeah I’m just trying to kick it up a notch cuz I’m not losing. I work out 5 days a week which is weights as well as cardio. I currently keep my calories under 2100 each day and I fast 16:8 but Ive been stuck at the same weight, give or take a couple, for about 6 weeks now, its frustrating. Losing weight in your 40’s sucks........

But Ive read a lot of praise for fasted cardio so was hoping the same might apply with weight training but I think I’m gonna need more pre workout carbs for it or I feel weak.

If you are doing a hard workout after that much of a fast, you may want to reconsider your window or even IF as a weight loss tool.

Hi all, I’m looking to boost my fat loss as I am a big guy, over 300lbs. Been working out regularly, 5 days a week (M-F) for a few months now. Doing well and seeing changes but I wanna up the ante.

I started doing Intermittent Fasting about a month ago. My eating window is 1pm to 9pm for the 16:8. And I was working out at 630pm each night. But my schedule has changed a bit and I also have been wanting to add fasted cardio into my routine. I have now had to switch my workout most days to lunchtime around 1pm.

1pm is when Id usually break my fast. Which I can push it another hour no problem but my main question is, my workouts tend to be pretty hard. Doing compound circuit routines with heavy weights for 30-40 mins (many times to technical failure) finishing with 15 mins of cardio.

Is this something that’s ok to do at 1pm after having not eaten for 16 hours? Or should I stick to only cardio for fasting times? Ive done it a handful fo times over the last couple weeks and got a decent workout but definitely felt weaker. Maybe my body will get more used to it like it does the fasting?

I cant really adjust my window much though as my work schedule doesnt really allow me to get home and eat before 9pm
