I have severe plantar fasciitis. I very much suffer, I cannot play sports and is even normal to go. May you advise best insoles for plantar fasciitis?
I tried different means and exercises, but nothing helps properly. Though some exercises about which I read in Fast Plantar Fasciitis Cure Review
really helped me. At least the last month I do these exercises and pain amplifies. What to do at serious problems with legs?

Unless you notice an improvement in a month or so... I would strongly suggest you at least go talk with a podiatrist about the orthotics. Yes $300 is a lot... but its a one time expense, and you're paying $40 or more over the counter for something that "might" be helpful for your foot structure...or might not be...! But there could be other options for you.

I have definite foot issues, so I know I am biased My first "athletic store recommended" over the counter inserts didn't fit my feet right, and actually gave me plantar fasciitis. Not Good!! After getting into the podiatrist, he was able to just add pads to those inserts to better correct my issues. That worked for several years. (Long story...but eventually I did get orthotics following some corrective foot surgery...)

. I've found that for my extra wide feet shoe choices are limited: women's 7EE aren't in your everyday athletic shoe store even! I can tell you that Brooks and Merrill are two brands which fit me.... And both will accommodate my orthotics.

All the best as you work through this.... I'm glad you have consulted a sports med doctor---I love mine!! AND my podiatrist!!

1. You may need more rest away from running to fully heal. I would also recommend finding a physical therapist - tendons take a stupidly long time to heal, and working with the right exercises during the healing process can make a huge difference in long-term functionality.

2. I wear a size 12 wide shoe (I'm a woman). I've had poor experiences with most running shoes until I started working on a more barefoot running style. I can't actually run barefoot where I live, but I go barefoot as much as possible in the summer, do yoga and foot exercises, and use a very minimalist running shoe (the New Balance Minimus in men's sizing). This helped strengthen (and actually lift) my arch. I've struggled since childhood with tendonitis in both my Achilles' and plantar fascia tendons in my right foot, and unconscious modifications to my stride because of the tendinitis ended up causing some issues with my right knee.

A custom-made orthotic did nothing but shift the problems to my hip and I had to quit running. Going much more minimal, walking extensively to the tune of 4-5 miles a day, and ramping my running up very slowly (from walking only to running a 5k over the course of 6 months) gave me time to build up the strength in all the tiny little support muscles in my feet and ankles.

Shifting my running stride to a mid-foot strike (away from the heel strike I'd been taught in middle school when I got my first bout of tendinitis in both heels) also helped build that necessary strength, and gave me the added benefit of gaining the knee protection of making use of the natural spring effect of my feet.

I also shifted away from running more than twice a week, and I added in cycling. It works many of the same muscles, builds my cardiovascular endurance, and doesn't place excess strain on my ankles, knees, or hips. Have you ever tried a spin class? It's a workout, I can promise you that!

I have really cut back on running in the last 6 months because it was really hurting my lower back. Instead I have been riding my bike more and I only run once a week at my weekly soccer game and my lower back is feeling a lot better.

The impact of running is hard on the body, and it is something you need to work up to gradually.

Most Couch to 5K programs take 8-10 weeks to work through progressively increasing intervals of running and walking until you are running continuously, and it is generally recommended that you run just 3 times per week, with other lower impact exercise on other days.

It sounds like you are doing too much too soon. Back off the running for a while, then work back into it gradually.

Each 1% incline on the treadmill requires about 10% more effort, so 10% incline is double the effort of walking on the flat. It sounds like you've got a good running alternative there while you recover.

Yes I was specially fitted for 1 pair at a running store. I actually was injured before the new shoes and since I have 2 pairs of shoes they have not helped. I have seen a sports orthopedic Dr who took x rays who says I have a strain, not seriously injured, and arch supports may help. If I have time go to PT.

Now that I am not actually running I have little to no pain.

Everytime I run I am sore the next day. I have AWFUL feet...big wide and low arches. I hate my feet.

I bought some arch supports on Groupon. No help. Was thinking of going to one of those Dr Scholls machines. I am not paying $300 for specially fitted orthodics when there is no guarantee they will even help.

Were you fitted for your running shoes at a specialty running store? Did you slowly work up to running for 20-30 minutes at a time? Have you been to the doctor about your injuries?

I am on week 10 of a personal trainer. I have lost weight and feel great.

I was running on the treadmill for 20-30 min a time but I have somehow sprained my right Achilles tendon and hurt my left hip. These injuries only bother me when I actually run. I have 2 new pairs of running shoes.

The treadmill is really the only cardio I like to do so I now do a really fast walk (speed 4.5) at 13-14% incline. It is still a good sweaty workout.
