1-2-2019 I am now 52 years of age and am trying once again to take better care of myself. I hope to be more active in my lifestyle and on Spark People. This is a GREAT learning and tracking site to help people live healthier lives.
I didn't make my early morning spin class today...I stayed home to get my daughter up early...she has standardized testing all day today and she's nervous. So I did Zumba at home instead. The best part was when she joined in after she got dressed. (She's 10 and it's really cute to watch her try to do the moves.) I will be going to kickboxing tonight as well. OUCH!

I tried to work out last night. I went to my gym and since it was really busy, I hopped on a cross trainer, which I've never done before. It looked similar to an elliptical to me, so I started going at it. By about 8 minutes in, I felt my heart pounding harder and harder. I tried to slow up a bit, but by about 13 minutes I stopped because I felt myself getting a little dizzy and my heart felt like it was going to explode. I don't work out regularly, but I go once every couple weeks and work out for 30 minutes on an elliptical machine no problem. Should I be worried about my reaction to exercise last night?
No...normally I wake up @ 3:50am, woke up late and am now at work and not feeling right. My evenings are very hectic and when I miss the morning workout, I'm worried I may not get a chance the rest of the day.
Being kind of hard on myself? Probably, but each day is important in my quest for fitness!

Absolutely! Every day whether I want to or not. (my dogs make me walk them daily) I have added 30 minutes to my daily routine plus Spark videos. I am trying to boost my metabolism as I have been stuck at the scale.
