wow, interesting! I guess I didn't realize it fluctuated that much. I had never noticed it before so I thought it was new! Thank you for all the information I appreciate the time you took to explain all of that for me.
The things that affect your BMR are height, weight and age. If you take a look at your Calorie Differential Over Time report for 2020, you will see your BMR has fluctuated a little more than you may be thinking. Your BMR ranged from 1550 to 1500 in January, then went down on Feb 3 to 1490 and bounced between 1490 and 1480 all that month until it did go up to 1550 yesterday like you mention.
Having said all that, it looks like you may have updated your current weight on the Weight Goals page ( www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/weight_edit.as p ) recently and the current weight you show there does not match the last weight you entered on the Weigh-In page. The one on your Weight Goals page is higher and that could account for the BMR increase. I didn't change anything because I am not sure which of those is your actual current rate. Please check out those two pages and update as needed so that your current weight is shown correctly in both places.

not complaining here just curious if someone can shed light on something i noticed today.
For months and months my BMR has been 1480. The last two days it now shows as 1550. I haven't changed any stats or goals or anything about my profile or activity levels so I'm just curious what would change. If anything I would think it might go DOWN over time as you get older and your metabolism naturally slows down.
