Today I am going to start running. I checked out a great site called, Cool Runnings, that helps a person (like me) who is not one who runs learn how to run without killing yourself. It incorporates both walking and running until you can run a 5k. SO today, I am doing both to begin my journey toward being a runner someday soon.emoticon

Walked a couple short 15 min walks today on my breaks. I'm just getting going with this but one of my knees is aching a little. Did an hour yesterday but trying to take it a little easier today.

Yeah. I had to drive to work today to bring stuff in- usually I ride my bike- so I went for a walk before we opened and will do another when we close.

I walked close to 4 miles at lunch, and usually that would do it, but I've got this goal to run around my little block (I'm not quite a "real" runner yet, but I hope to be soon!) If I'm not feeling too sore by the time I get home, I may try to run the block. That would be walking AND running today!

I plan to walk about 2 miles. Yesterday, just doing errands at lunch was 1.7 miles and that only took about 1/2 hour. So, I'm really encouraged tht can easily add walking as an exercise without interfering with my schedule.
