Today I am going to start running. I checked out a great site called, Cool Runnings, that helps a person (like me) who is not one who runs learn how to run without killing yourself. It incorporates both walking and running until you can run a 5k. SO today, I am doing both to begin my journey toward being a runner someday soon.
Does it really matter how far we go, or how slow or how fast? That depends on your health needs and the goals you have set up for yiourself. How committed are you to a longer active healthy life? God Bless, Vic.
I walked close to 4 miles at lunch, and usually that would do it, but I've got this goal to run around my little block (I'm not quite a "real" runner yet, but I hope to be soon!) If I'm not feeling too sore by the time I get home, I may try to run the block. That would be walking AND running today!
I plan to walk about 2 miles. Yesterday, just doing errands at lunch was 1.7 miles and that only took about 1/2 hour. So, I'm really encouraged tht can easily add walking as an exercise without interfering with my schedule.
