Hello everyone!
My name is Kirsten (Svelteyooper). Tomorrow, I will be turning 51. I've been here on SparkPeople off and on for about 3 years now. I come in, get active on boards and such, then lose motivation or try another site for awhile...and back again! The community here has always been so welcoming and supportive, I don't know why I keep leaving.
Anyway, a little about me. I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost 32 years (32 exactly coming up on the 21st of May). We have two adult children who live with us, plus our daughter's best friend, who just graduated from college a couple of weeks ago. I work in the dietary department of a nursing home part time. I just reduced my hours from 60 per 2 weeks down to 32 because I experience serious anxiety and panic attacks as a result of having to wear a mask during this pandemic. I had to take a 4-week leave of absence to get my anxiety under control, and during that time, gained 5 pounds from stress eating and lower activity level. Let's see, what else? I have a BS in Communication. I worked for many years as a College Level English and Math tutor, and just recently got hired to work for an online tutoring company called TutorMe. I haven't started yet, but am excited to get back on it.
I currently weight 161.4 pounds and want to get back down to about 145-150. My current goal here is set at 150 pounds. Lower metabolism as I've aged, but not as bad as some people talk about, so I'm happy about that.
I guess that's my high points. Looking forward to checking out other posts here in the near future.
