Personally I can't stand digital planning, I gotta go paper. Picking up the dedicated notebook such as onplanners.com/planners/manage-busy-life is a great way for me to quickly and simply clear my head between tasks, because it's such a concrete change from whatever I was doing previously. I use a modified version of the bullet journal idea that is basically just more flexible and less intricate.

I carry a small planner with me and also write appointments down on the calendar in the kitchen. I prefer it.

I also put it into our shared digital family calendar because my husband prefers it.

I contract with five entities. Each has an online calendar and my google likes to disconnect one or more. Glitchy.
So, I keep a hard copy planner with me. It gets filled out early morning, and I check the one scheduling app that can change up until my shift starts.

Luckily, I have standing appointments, a set pair of shifts, and a master calendar with my additional shifts.
I’ll go to a salon style calendar with five columns. I need the visual of looking at time in blocks, color coded.

Our family has used a paper appointment book for decades.
It really helps that everyone knows what everyone else is doing.
Plus it serves as a reminder for what was done that day, phone calls that were made (and what was discussed), errands that were done, etc.

My calendar at work gets rearranged way too often to rely on paper. Plus others can see my calendar and cannot schedule meetings on top of meetings and that would not work with paper either.

Paper works great for me. A small calendar in my purse and a big one on the wall. Have used for years because then the whole family can check schedules in the same place!

I used to really enjoy a planner. I'm fact my first planner was a day timer! I used it while in college and loved it. But it became increasingly difficult to find the filler pages. I haven't used a planner since.

I use my Google calendar, but for some reason there are times things I've entered and saved disappear.

I have a calendar on my fridge I use sometimes.

I put everything in the Google calendar. If it is not in there, I don't do it. :-)

I don't really use either. Hard calendars and organizers are a waste of money and space. If I have something important to remember, I'll put a Post-It up and have a list of the races I sign up for.

A lot of bookstores are closing here in the US too. Part of it is competition from places like Target and Wal-Mart which often have better prices and Amazon. Also, many people are getting ereaders like Kindle and Nook; I haven't purchased a physical book in ages because I have a reader.

Changes can be hard. Bookstores are closing and jobs are being lost. However, with the advent of Amazon and ebooks, other jobs are being created, like in fulfillment for Amazon, which actually has a fulfillment center in my town. Also, authors who couldn't get published in the traditional way through a publishing house are able to self publish through places like Amazon. A series I am currently reading is actually self published by the author on Amazon and it's one of the best series I have ever read; I am actually learning bits of American history I didn't know.

Or do you prefer to use your mobile's calendar function or even google calender?

As for me I have both, I feel I need both in order to keep track of everything. And I feel better that I have manual backup in case my phone goes haywire or something, after all you never know with this new fangled gadgets. And I like to see my plans in a monthly or even entire year's view. I find it's easier to jot down in a manual organizer. I have a very pretty organizer that I got for a nice price from my local bookstore!

Speaking of bookstores, MPH and Barnes and Noble and even Christian bookstores have closed down a few branches. I think it's sooo sad that manual books are no longer as salable because of ebooks and stuff.......
