My Adventures in Spark Land...March Madness Day 4-Last Day in Seussville the Lorax.

Thursday, March 04, 2021

"Unless someone like you cares a awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."
~The Lorax (Dr. Seuss Book)

emoticon I am only repeating this because here in Sparkie Land not only do my friends see this blog but so do others. I feel a need to explain if you didn't read my blog yesterday. My mom was a teacher who didn't  like Dr. Spock or  Dr. Seuss. I remember as a kid spending time playing with my cousin Jessie.  Jessie without realizing it, introduced me to the world of Dr. Seuss!  I remember in grade school watching movies on Fridays with the whole school in the gym. I fell in love with Dr. Seuss movies!  I wanted to live in Dr. Seuss land!  Mom often told me TV and movies were not real. A few years ago I did a blog similar to this and someone of my sparkie friends explained to me that I love whimsy.  After looking it up, I realized yes I love whimsy!  My next question was how do I add more whimsical fun into my life? That's when I decided to do goals like doing 1 new thing a day and doing 1 fun thing a day. To step out of my comfort zone and add some fun and whimsy into my life.  Today is the last day I will be celebrating Dr. Seuss!

emoticon Today I listened to Dr. Seuss's book 'The Lorax' on youtube. I also saw the movie from the 1970's  on youtube also.  I didn't see the new one in the apps I have which is okay! I like Dr, Seuss' movies from the 1970's much better! My favorite thing about the movie is the Truffula Tree. I wish I had that seed to plant it here-lol!! I will be attempting to draw one for my fun today!

emoticon My positive affirmation is 'I can be anything I want to be.".  This is not something I grew up being told.   I am currently reading the book "It's Just My Nature." By Carol Tuttle.  She talks about what that means.  She talks about how nature is balanced . We humans are not.  Carol explains... She said the aspen tree doesn't want to be a willow.  It's happy being an aspen tree.  Yet we as humans want to be someone we are not making us unbalanced.  When we see the Grand Canyon, we are in awe of its beauty and we don't try to change it. Yet we humans try to change each other leaving us unbalanced!  I am learning how to become balanced which for the 1st time in my life! I am learning to be me. Which means I feel I can be anything I want to be.

emoticon for reading my silly blog. It's been fun exploring Dr. Seuss Land. I am hoping to bring a little whimsy into my life from exploring Seussville a little closer!
