Sunday afternoon stroll
Sunday, February 21, 2021
Today is Sunday. We usually worship with our church virtually but at the same time it is happening. Today my husband had an appointment with the county to get his first Covid vaccine at the same time, so we worshipped after he got home and after lunch. His shot experience went well. I am scheduled for my second shot this coming Friday.
Then he asked if I wanted to go for a walk and said that it was 70 degrees out. I definitely wanted to go for a walk. During the walk we called our oldest son who had our grandson this weekend. However his mother had already picked him up. It was nice to talk to our son. He and his wife survived the freeze which we had last week. They have a saying here in Texas, “Don’t complain about the weather, because it will change before you know it”. So true, freezing last week and warm 70’s today.
My heart was already pumping from the walk so when we got home I decided to use our elliptical. It has been 10 days since my last report. In that time I have increased my time to 13 minutes, and my resistance to 2-3. Starting at 2 and increasing to 3 somewhere along the way. I was really sweating by the time I finished. So we walked for 32 minutes and my time on the elliptical was 13 minutes so my exercise for the day is 45 minutes.
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend.
